Unfortunately, the series co-creator James “Jay Gunn” Wilson has been finding work a little hard to come by recently, and following the sale of hisoriginal game design Bible back in May, he’s now selling his Game of the Year BAFTA that he won back in 2000 for MediEvil 2 to help “keep the wolves at bay”....
Cheat codes used to be a common occurrence, until greedy publishers realised there was so much money to be made by charging for them. No longer could you enter a secret command and suddenly be granted infinite ammo, unlimited health, or big heads - these features were sadly locked away for everyone except those willing to cough up a few extra pennies. It sucks, and as the industry continues to embrace subscriptions and services, I can only see cheat codes resurfacing as a cutesy nostalgia pull more than anything else....
Judging by the internet, the only comic featuring Doc Ock thatSpider-Manfans have read is Superior. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s about Otto Octavius taking over Peter Parker’s body as his own peters out. Since he makes a reference to his dying frail body and‘The Final Chapter’across both of Insomniac’s games, many have run with the idea that ol’ Octopus is getting ready to stick his mind into the Spider’s, despite the mind swap occurring in Superior and Insomniac referencing a different comic entirely....
Bethesdahas a very well-deserved reputation for releasing games that are more than a little buggy. Granted, they’re not Cyberpunk 2077 levels of broken, but games likeOblivionandSkyrimhave just enough jank to make exploring their respective worlds a lot of fun. Oblivion is a greater offender than Skyrim in that regard, a game that may as well be cobbled together with glue and bits of string, but the state the game’s in right now makes it absolutely hilarious in the most unexpected ways....
EAhas announced thatPlants vs. Zombies 3: Welcome to Zomburbiawill be soft-launching for mobile today in select markets, with a full worldwide release happening later this year. Despite being one of its most popular mobile games (one that’s even gone on to make appearances on consoles thanks to the third-person Garden Warfare), Plants vs. Zombies has been surprisingly quiet in recent years, with the last major release having been 2019’s Battle for Neighborville....
Pokemondidn’t get any new games in 2023 and as it stands it won’t get any in 2024 either. The Pokemon video game landscape will likely change on Pokemon Day next month, but for now,Scarlet & Violetare the newest installments in the series and will be for a while. Although there were no new Pokemon games, Scarlet & Violet did get DLC, and now physical copies of those titles bundled with the DLC are available for just $89, their lowest price yet....

Star Oceanis an interesting series. To take the ‘space opera’ and ‘mid-fantasy’ genres only to smash them together, playing every trope straight, just shouldn’t work, but it does. This bold combination is exemplified by the second game’s two central protagonists - a girl from a backwoods planet who has mysterious healing powers and an earthling boy who is then teleported down to said planet, kickstarting a fish out of water story that is as much Star Trek as it is Final Fantasy....
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leagueis just a few weeks out from release, but Arkham fans have had little in the way to get excited about. Previews of the game have been dire, and it’sconstantly being roasted on social media for its UIandchanges to certain major characters. It’s caused somewhat of a resurgence of an old rumor that Rocksteady once had a Superman game in the works that was scrapped in favor of Suicide Squad, but a new report has finally debunked them....
