Earlier this week, we covered asevere bug in the Xbox port of Baldur’s Gate 3 that was erasing save files, costing players hours of playtime. Now, even after an update rolled out to fix the issue, fabs are still sharing instances of losing save files, frustratingXboxplayers and putting some off buying the game until it’s fixed for good. It’s not clear what’s causing the issue, with the latest firmware update from Xbox apparently not doing enough to stop it from happening....

Summary Action games are often renowned for epic combat and fun gameplay, but part of what makes them so great is the characters. Over the years, these characters, especially the protagonists, have been men. However, slowly but surely, more female characters have gained the spotlight over the last two to three decades. There are certainly not enough of them, especially representation for queer or women of color, but it’s clear the female characters are getting more diversified, less objectified, and more developed as the years go on....

Bully 2was in development at some point, at least according to apparent debug files forGrand Theft Auto 5. The data, which is being picked apart by debuggers, references severalRockstarprojects, some of which were cancelled, including the long-awaited Bully sequel and a scrapped GTA 5 expansion. As reported byVGC, a reference to a game called “Bully 2” can be found in the files. This would suggest that the sequel, or at least some kind of new game in the series, has been in development, although it’s not clear how old these files are....

A lot of eyebrows were raised whenTekken 8’snew character, Reina, was revealed. Heihachi died at the end of Tekken 7, following the long tradition of characters being thrown off high places. This time, according to series director and producer Katsuhiro Harada, for good. Suddenly we see a mysterious character using Mishima-style karate, even copying some of the old man’s more iconic moves, and calling Jin Kazama (Heihachi’s grandson) senpai, all while sitting on a throne in a temple that strongly resembled Heihachi’s old training ground....
