Warframe’slatest update has introduced a limited-time clan event called Operation: Gargoyle’s Cry. This fits a similar niche to the Operation: Scarlet Spear event from 2020, giving players a deterministic way to farm certain Warframe Arcanes and previous event cosmetic rewards.
If you’re looking to expand your collection of Arcanes, this is the perfect time to jump back into Warframe. This guide will explain how the Gargoyle’s Cry event works, how to participate, and showcase every reward you can purchase from the Jahu Gargoyle vendor. We’ll also explain how this event augments the core Murmur Assassination node found on Deimos.

What Is Operation: Gargoyle’s Cry?
Operation: Gargoyle’s Cry is a clan event thatruns from December 18 to January 15.This event modifies the Effervo Assassination mission on Deimos to include Void Angel spawns and bonus rewards.Defeating the Murmur boss will drop two new currencies: Curses and Grotesque Splinters.
These currencies can be exchanged at a new vendor called the Jahu Gargoyle, a decoration you can create in your clan’s dojo. Create the decoration, farm the Effervo node, and return to the Gargoyle to claim your rewards. This event is an excellent source of Arcanes, notably Arcane Energize and Grace.

Event Prerequisites
Before you may participate in this event, you must first complete the “Whispers in the Walls” quest. This is the latest mainline quest in Warframe and requires you to complete all previous cinematic quests, notably “The New War.”
Once you’ve completed “Whispers in the Walls,” Fibonacci will send you an inbox message with a blueprint for theJahu Gargoyle. This is aclan dojo decorationthat must be built before you can access the reward vendor for this event. Travel to your clan’s dojo and, if not already present, build the Jahu Gargoyle.

Creating the Jahu Gargoyle requires the following materials for a Ghost Clan. Larger clans will need additional resources:
Dojo Decoration Permissions
Players must have the “Dojo Decorator” privilege enabled to place decorations in their clan’s dojo. Role privileges may be altered from the Clan menu under Clan Management -> Edit Hierarchies.
Credit Cost:10,000
Build Time:60 Seconds
With the Jahu Gargoyle built, you have everything you need to participate in this event. The Jahu Gargoyle serves as the reward vendor for this event.Be sure to visit the statue often to redeem your event currencies for Gargoyle’s Cry rewards, something we cover in the “Operation Rewards” section.
How To Participate
Gargoyle’s Cry modifies the Effervo node on Deimos with additional rewards and optional objectives.Effervo is an Assassination node against The Murmur, a horrific Indifferent enemy that has multiple mechanics and DPS phases. Boot up the Effervo node to start the event. Matchmaking is enabled for the event, so don’t feel pressured to do this solo.
The mission itself is mostly the same, but there are two notable differences:

Losing Curse
Donotkill the Void Angel after defeating the Murmur. Doing so will purge all Curses obtained from the Murmur fight.
When you first spawn in the mission,a Void Angel will be marked on your HUD as a bonus objective. You can defeat this Void Angel at anytime before you extract, although we recommend doing it before facing the Murmur so you don’t risk losing any rewards. The Void Angels feature the same mechanics and drop rewards asthose found aboard the Zariman.
Curses And Grotesque Splinters
The notable change to this event is the Murmur’s rewards. Each time you kill the Murmur, you will gain Curses and Grotesque Splinters. These are event currencies you can exhange with the Jahu Gargoyle back in your clan’s dojo. The type of Murmur you defeat will determine which type of Curse drops. Normal Path drops one Curse, while Steel Path drops two Curses.

All three Curses may be donated to your clan’s Jahu Gargoyle. This will contribute towards a community goal that, when reached, will unlock additional cosmetic rewards from the Jahu Gargoyle’s shop.Grotesque Splintersare used to purchase items in the Jahu Gargoyle’s shop.
Yareli Double Resource Bug
If you activate Yareli’s second ability before picking up the Murmur’s loot, you will receive twice as many Grotesque Splinters and Curses.
As with Curses, the number of Grotesque Splinters you receive is determined by difficulty.Splinter drops are not affected by boosters.
These items will drop atop the Murmur’s corpse once they’ve been slain. The fight is mechanically the same as usual; only the rewards have been altered.Defeat the Murmur, grab its loot, then extract. When you’re ready to redeem your event currencies, head to your clan dojo and speak with the Jahu Gargoyle.
Operation Rewards
Gargoyle’s Cry gives players a chance to earn past event rewards, Plains of Eidolon (PoE) Arcanes, and exclusive new cosmetics. This is easily the best Arcane farm in Warframe if you’re able to handle Steel Path,as every Arcane from PoE is present here—including Arcane Energize, Grace, and Avenger.
In other words, this event is a more interactive version of 2020’s Scarlet Spear. While this event takes slightly longer than Scarlet Spear for optimized groups, you will also be earning Zariman Arcanes and Holdfast reputation by killing the dormant Void Angel that’s present in every run.
