Whether it’s a shopkeeper offering gradually better discounts at their store, an extra few stat points for your builder, or even just a random gift in the mail, the people of Sandrock love to give back to those closest to them. Increase your friendships in My Time at Sandrock to unlock these sweet bonus perks.
What Are Relation Perks?
In My Time at Sandrock, as youincrease your friendship with the townsfolk, you’ll notice the stars below their name (or hearts, if they’re a romance option) begin to fill with color.
This means you’re getting closer to that person! And though there’s plenty to be said for friendship alone, with most of the NPCs in My Time at Sandrock, you’ll also earn anadditional bonus for reaching relationship benchmarkswith them.
This is true ofevery relationshipyou have - human and animal alike. Thehuman residentsof Sandrock have three benchmarks -Buddy, Friend, and Good Friend- while theanimalscan only reachFriend.
And though every relationship is intricate in its own way, you’ll noticepatterns in relationship perksbased on the kind of work your friends do.
Shopkeepersalmost consistently offerdiscounts at their storesas you grow closer. Theanimalsandsome human NPCslead to you gainingbonus statsfor your character, like extra health or stamina. Themajority of the human NPCswill simplysend you occasional giftsin the mail.
You can see all the relation perks for a character by going to the relationships tab in your menu, highlighting that character, and looking at the tab all the way to the right of their individual information.
