Like A Dragon fans will be well aware of who Ono Michio is by now. He’s been the game’s lovable mascot character ever since Yakuza 6 - with his charming hassaku face, steamy onomichi ramen hat, cute fish pouch, cool boots, vital for any fisherman, and his bold and trendy Ono shirt - so you’ll find it no surprise that he’s also inLike A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. It won’t be a guy in a suit this time though, as a new, chaotic Ono Michio has taken his place.
Shortly into Infinite Wealth, you will come across a character with a very familiar design that the game refers to as “Tacky Junk”. After a short conversation, you find out that this is Robo Michio, a new version of the lovable mascot Ono Michi that was originally acting as a security guard to one of Infinite Wealth’s dungeons before he ran out of power. That’ll happen when you have the same battery life as a Sega Game Gear.

Returning players that have encountered Ono Michio in previous game will probably also be surprised to find out that he’s not the quirky lover of justice we’re used to. Instead, Robo Michio is a much more chaotic entity, who seems to have a deep hatred of humankind, and thinks of himself as a vastly superior being.
Robo Michio also has rather anarchic beliefs, believing that capitalism is a pointlessly cruel system with no logic behind it, and isn’t too shy to throw a few jabs at Kasuga, calling him a “semi-evolved primate” and noting his “exploitable sense of justice”. So, don’t go expecting Robo Michio to be just as lovely as Ono Michio, or you’ll find yourself getting swiftly roasted.
As for what he does in Infinite Wealth, he mainly acts as a vendor for Ichiban Kasuga, who you’re able to buy a variety of items from, including Geodes used for crafting items. He’s just yet another very cute reference to the Like A Dragon games of old, which Infinite Wealth is absolutely full to the brim with. For example, in the storyyou’ll also come across Suguira and Makoto, two characters who will be very familiar if you’ve played though the Judgment spinoff series.
If you fancy getting verbally abused by Robo Michio yourself, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is available to purchase right this second, and it’s been gettingglowing reviews from pretty much every outlet out there.
