I’m kidding of course, take your time, but Lego has just made a lot of new sets available to kick off the new year. Most of the sets had been revealed ahead of time, but now that 2024 is officially underway, they’re available to buy through the official Lego store.

Marvelfans have quite a bit to be excited about, and a lot of building to do in the coming weeks should they pick up both of the new, very different sets added to the Lego family today.The X-Men X-Jet is the most elaborate of the bunch. Modeled after the jet used in X-Men ‘97, the iconic animated show rebooted for Disney Plus and returning this year, the set also includes Magneto and Wolverine Minifigures.

Also added to Marvel’s Lego collection for the new year isthe Spider-Man vs. Sandman: Final Battle setinspired by No Way Home, anda motorcycle chase featuring Spidey and Doc Ock. Mario’s sprawling Lego Mushroom Kingdom has also grown today. Bowser has rocked up in a muscle car a few times, and now he can do so in Lego form. This expansion set made up of 458 pieces comes with its very own Bowser, the hood ornament moves, and it’s compatible with the Lego Mario, Luigi, and Peach figures, but none of them are included.

Last but certainly not least when it comes to licensed Lego sets released on New Year’s Day isthe Knuckles Guardian set. The new addition to the Sonic Lego universe gives Knuckles and Rouge their very own Minifigures for the first time. Knuckles is piloting a big old mech and seemingly protecting the Master Emerald from Rouge. It joinsthe Shadow’s Escape setwhich was released in time for the holidays.
