Lego Fortnitehas confirmed that the highly-requested steering wheel piece is coming to the game in the future, which should allow players to move the vehicles and structures they create.
Fortnitehas been absolutely full of surprises over the last few weeks,from Peter Griffin finally joining the gameafter years of rumours to a wholeRock Band mode featuring songs from Kendrick Lamar and Weezer being added to the game for free. Perhaps the biggest surprise of all, though, is Lego Fortnite, a Minecraft-esque mode that ditches all the Battle Royale mechanics and lets players build to their heart’s content.
Lego Fortnite has been massively popular since it first launched and has seen a ton of praise from fans, particularly when it comes to how fast the team is at updating and tweaking mechanics in response to feedback. As well-received as the mode has been, the one big thing that most players have been asking for is a way to move their vehicles and creations themselves with a steering wheel, something that has now been confirmed to be in the works.
Yesterday,the Lego Fortnite Twitter account shared several instruction manual videos that demonstrated some things that can be built in the game, something it’s been doing for a little while now. That’s not out of the ordinary, but fans quickly noticed that the video included a mention of a steering wheel, something that’s not yet in the game despite heavy requests for one.
The Lego Fortnite account responded by taking down the videos, which fans took as confirmation that the wheel is coming but that it wasn’t ready to be announced yet. After that,the account tweeted out a statement about the wheel, acknowledging it mistakenly being put in the video and saying that the feature is currently being worked on.
