The Pocket Circuit minigame introduced in Yakuza 0 has made a triumphant return inLike A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. Once again, you’ll be taking to the tiny track and pushing it to the redline. Just like in the previous iteration, assembling your race car will take careful management.

You are always having to balance acceleration Vs. speed, strips of grass typically require spiked tires, and you’ll need a more powerful motor when climbing steep sections of track. Your weight will also require constant consideration: if you’re too heavy you will be slow, if you are too light you will fly off the track. Thankfully, this guide exists to eliminate any frustration. If you get stuck, you may follow our builds down below.

Introductory Race - 20c

This is your first race, and it is as simple as it gets. Use the setup below and boost pretty much at any time to give yourself the advantage.

Regular Battery

Rookie’s Welcome Race - 20c

You can keep an identical loadout to the previous race and win this one as well, though you will need to boost to claim victory.Boost at the beginning of the straight section just before the finish line. You will probably need to hammer the recovery button to keep your car on the track once you hit the bend, but this will let you win without spending a single point.

Rookie Race - 20c

This is the first race we are going to need to smartly use our boost to win. You will have two boosts in this race, ensure to use them when you arejustentering into the final elevated ramp before the finish line. Don’t boost before you enter the ramp, boostjustas you are entering it.

Another important factor is thatyou don’t want to boost when you are on the inside track (the section that is colored green at the finish line), as a boost while you are crossing over that little bridge will likely cause you to dismount the track.

Finally, you will need the High Capacity Battery,or you quite simply will not have the power to finish the race.

High Capacity Battery

Standard Race -25c

The most important parts of this build will be theExtra Spiked Tiresand theGodspeed Gears. You can use the Extra Power Motor as well, but the race will be closer.

You will want to boost right after the short ramp at the top of the track while you are on the inside lane. This will help you charge through the looping section. You will likely need to hammer that stabilizing button once you hit the middle part of the track.

Pro-am Race - 25c

This is going to be a touch tighter than some of the previous races.Just make sure to boost just before you hit the loop; you’ll be on the inside lane (colored green lane) when you are set to hit the loop, so be aware of your lane. Boosting effectively will be crucial for victory!

Boosting too early, such as at the 90-degree turn before the loop, will likely cause your car to careen off the track.

Light Suspension

Veteran Race - 30c

With this build, you should be able to win decisively. Boosts will likely launch you off the track, so don’t use them.Except, that is, during the last leg of the race, just as you are landing from the jump before the loop. However, that last boost isn’treallyneeded. you’re able to sort of just set it and forget it with this race.

Expert Race - 30c

This will be another pretty easy win.Just ensure you boost when you are on the inside track(the green one), and boost right after the finishing line (as close to it as possible).

Official Race - 30c

The setup below will absolutely destroy your competition. No boosting necessary. Better yet, you should have all these parts from previous builds, so this is a good opportunity to bank some cash.

If you want, you may cut the suspension and win even more dominantly, but you will need to hammer that stabilize button. If you are looking to use the boost, just use it before you hit the loop (when you are on the inside track).

Medium Suspension

CourStar Race - 35c

The setup below will absolutely destroy your competition. No boosting necessary. However, you will need to stabilize on occasion. So, be ready to hammer that focus button!

Heavy Suspension

Invitational Course - 40c

This one is relatively dramaless.Just boost before you hit the loop (on the inside track, as usual), and you will be golden.
