As you progress inPalworld, the requirements for building newer and better items for your base increases significantly. Wood and Stone are quickly relegated to secondary materials when you gain access to more complex technologies, and eventually, you won’t even be able to operate these machines yourself.
Instead, you must rely on Pals to do the job for you. This requires some knowledge of which Pals can do which jobs, and how best to set up your base to enable them to work efficiently. This is something you’ll encounter very early on with the construction of the Primitive Furnace.

Palworld is currently in Early Access, which means that the information detailed below is liable to change over the course of development.
How To Get A Furnace
ThePrimitive Furnaceis an item you must unlock with Technology Points after reaching Level 10. It requires20 Wood, 50 Stone, and tenFlame Organsto build - the latter can be obtained by defeating or catching fiery Pals, specificallyFoxparksandRooby.
It’s a good idea to build the furnace outdoors - we found thatPals wouldn’t be able to ‘see’ the furnace if it was placed inside a buildingand, therefore, would not work on it, even if they were otherwise idle and without any other jobs to attend to.
How To Use A Furnace
Furnaces require fire to operate, and this is something thatyou cannot do yourself. Instead, you’ll need aPal capable of the Kindling task. The higher the Kindling level, the better the Pal will be able to craft items at the furnace.
The main thing you’ll be using a furnace for is makingIngots, which require two Ores to create. You’ll need a huge amount of Ingots to progress through the game’s intended technology route, somake sure you’re harvesting Ore whenever you see it!
Pals capable ofKindlingthat you can obtain early in the game are the same that drop Flame Organs -Foxparks and Rooby.
