Once you progress to Hawaii and get your bearingsin chapter three, you’ll soon be introduced to Kei, and subsequently, Aloha Links.

Aloha Links is a social media appthat helps connect you to the people of Hawaii with as little as a simple “Aloha!”

Kasuga talks to Kei at Revolve Bar in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Instead of helping random folks you never see again – as in previous entries –Aloha Links allows Kasuga to establish relationships with the NPCswho inhabit Hawaii.

Aloha Links is more than just a collection minigame, as you’ll unlock special rewards from your friends and Kei as you deepen your relationships with the citizens of the island.

Kasuga makes friends with Craig in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

To access Aloha Links, you must firstmeet Kei, a talkative and extremely enthusiastic employeeat Revolve Bar.

Kei is a fast-talking social butterfly who will introduce you to Aloha Links,download the appon your phone, and be your main source of information.

If you ever forget something that Kei explained or simply want to know more details, you’re able to approach Kei and ask her to explain a certain aspect of Aloha Links.

After you finish listening to Kei’s introduction, you’ll noticegray smiley faces appearing above eligible citizens– these will be your first friends on the app.

Some friends can be made by saying “Aloha”, while others may require you to save them from trouble or perform a task.

Friends you’ve made will appear with a green smiley faceand a bar indicating your current friendship level.

Saving a friend will net you a rewardshowing their appreciation, in addition to an increase in your friendship meter.

Dogs & catscan be befriended by giving them the appropriate food.

Kasuga’s personality will be enriched by making friendsas each interaction bestows bonuses to personality stats, likeConfidenceandCharisma.

You become friends once you interactwith someone through an Aloha, providing help, or feeding them (cats and dogs).

“Buddies” status is achieved after you fill the green barfloating above their head. The meter progresses with each positive interaction with someone, thoughthere is a cooldown.

You cantrack your total number of buddies and friends(up to a maximum of 200 each) in theAlohaLinksappon your Smartphone.

In addition to being your Aloha Links guide,Kei will occasionally contactyou when you make a certain number of new friends.

You canmake multiple friends at onceif two or more people are close enough when you belt out an “Aloha”.

Look out for atext from Keiinviting you to drop by Revolve Bar. These texts will come in as soon as you meet the friend thresholds listed below.

Once you return,Kei will offer you useful items as rewardsfor expanding your social circle.

You’ll alsolevel up your friendship with Keiby purchasing food from her at the bar.

As with friends on the island,you must wait for the cooldown time to elapseand ideally leave Revolve Bar before Kei’s friendship meter increases again.

You cannot simply buy all the food at once to level up your friendship with Kei.

Much like with the random citizens you meet,to increase your friendshipyou mustfill the green bar above Kei’s head.

Once you becomebuddies with Kei, she will gift you aFirst Aid Kit, which will revive a fallen party member.

Build your social circle and upgrade your “Friends” to “Buddies” to continue receiving useful gear and other rewards from Kei.
