The Lamplighters Leagueisa strategy gamethat’s a little bit XCOM and a little bit Indiana Jones. In it, you command a cast of rogues to fight the dastardly Banished Court in a race to the top of a mystical tower.

Each member of the League is deadly and powerful in their own right, bringing to bear unique skills and gear to topple the Court. One of their defining traits is the weapons they bring into combat, so if you want to get the most out of your Agents, here’s a guide on how to effectively use and improve their armaments.

Left to right: Eddie shoots at enemies, Jianyi slashes through an enemy, Ingrid hit multiple enemies with her Signature Move

How Do Weapons Work?

If you’re feeling cheeky, weapons work by sticking enemies with the pointy end or shooting them with the blasty end. However, each Agent has a different weaponwith different capabilities and effective ranges. Every character starts with a weapon thatcannot be changed out, essentially acting as an aspect of their character and a permanent part of their kit.

Grenades and other throwable weapons can be assigned freelyto each Agent and are consumed upon use.

At the bottom of every Agent’s skill tree isa permanent weapon upgradethat greatly improves the performance of their weapon, though what aspects are improved depends on the specific Agent.

How To Upgrade Weapons

To upgrade each character’s weapon, you have to develop their skills on their skill treeto the point where they can do so. If you follow their skill trees down the middle, you’ll find that in the second-to-last ability, it forks toeach Agent’s last ability and their Tempered Weapon upgrade.

You canupgrade the Weaponsmith to stock throwable weapons(up to level two) at the Supplier, but you’ll find most of them by exploring during missions. Level three throwables are only found during missions.

The cost for upgrading weapons is the same across every Agent 12 skill points (assuming you’ve unlocked a path to the upgrade) andone Serenite Bar.

The latter isan exceptionally rare resource, which is guaranteed as a reward for each Heist, which are important missions that you undertake once each for the Nicastro, Marteau, and Strum factions.

Use your Serenite Bars (denoted on the upper right of the screen as SER) wisely,on characters you really care about and plan to keep alive. Rarely, you may find more bars in some difficult non-story missions.
