There are 15 missions inModern Warfare 3’ssingle-player campaign divided between linear levels and more open zones where you can run around, collect equipment, and explore different parts of the map. The twelfth mission, the Gora Dam, tasks you withdisarming four bombs on the map and then evacuating.
Though the locations are marked on your map, they might not be the easiest to find, especially if you have alerted guards and are under enemy fire. Read on below to find out not only where they are, but also the most optimal order on how to disarm them.
Bomb Locations
The map in the above photo shows all the general locations of the bombs. One bomb is in the back of a truck being driven around the map, so its location will change, but it always starts in the same place. Here is the best order you should use when disarming the bomb

How To Disarm The Bombs
Knowing where the bombs are is only one part of the equation. You now need to reach and disarm them. It’s easier said than done. Follow the instructions below for the best route to disarming them all quickly and quietly.
The Best Loadout To Use
Our ideal loadout for this mission involves two silenced weapons:The Silenced EBR-14and theSilenced 556 Icarus.
Once you collect a gun on the mission,you’re able to equip it to your loadout upon retrying the mission. Getting these weapons and then retrying from the start with these weapons is a perfectly valid strategy.
How To Disarm The Bomb In The Back Of The Truck
Right when the mission starts, jump off the ledgeand parachute towards the truck driving from the right side of where you are facing. Land on its hood and shoot the driver. The truck will stop and you may peacefully disarm the bomb
How To Unlock The Hitchhiker Achievement/Trophy In MW3
to get the Hitchhiker Achievement/Trophy,you need to disarm the bomb in the truck while it is still in motion. you may follow the same steps as before but parachute into the back of the truck instead of on the hood. If you overshoot and land on the road behind the truck,you can still easily catch up to the vehicle by sprinting and climbing into the back.
As long as you kill the driver before he reaches the concrete wall, no one will notice and no alarm will be triggered.
How To Disarm The Bomb Inside The Dam
Crouch through the hole in the concrete wall to sneak up on the guard on the other side and do a silent takedown.
The entrance to the Dam is on the other side of the wall’s opening,close to where you spawned but underneath.There are some enemies ahead who will eventually walk towards you. Take them out from a distance.
There are three to four enemies grouped here and shooting them might cause an alert, but if you take them all out fast enough the alert will go away quickly.
Inside the dam is anarrow hallway leading to the room with the bomb.There are either one or two guards in here (depending on how quick you are). Shoot both of them and disarm the bomb
How To Disarm The Third Bomb
Go back the same way you came. Depending on your speed and the enemies you killed beforehand, there may be some guards walking by. Your goal is toclimb the ladder across the road to reach the roof of the building.
There is a sniper by the entrance of the dam(behind you and to the left of where you exit after disarming the bomb). Kill him to prevent him from spotting you while climbing the ladder.
Climb the ladder and kill the enemy on the roof. From here you have agreat vantage point for all the enemies below you guarding the third bomb. Take as much time as you need to snipe all the guards below.
Once they are taken out,head in the direction of the unmanned turret below.It won’t spot you if you are behind it. Take out the guards on the walkway and disable the turret.The bomb is in the third alcove.
How To Disarm The Last Bomb
The last bomb is very close but underwater andguarded by a truck with several guards and an unmanned turret. Taking these guys out silently is difficult but completely possible. It’s all a matter of killing them fast enough.
After Disarming The Bombs
After disarming all the bombs,the last objective is to exfiltrate. The location where the helicopter picks you up varies. Itcan be close by on the eastern part of the map or further away to the west.Whatever the location, just make it there and defend yourself until the helicopter comes.
