Amidst the lore and legends onCoral Island, there used to be creatures call giants who ruled the elemental mines in the Cavern. When you start venturing into the mines, you’ll see that there are three stone statues at the entrance. But are they really statues, and what do they mean?

With the Goddess' help, you soon learn that those are not just statues, but the giants turned to stone. What could’ve done this to them, and how can they be freed? Venture forth as we tell you how to free the giants from their curse, and what rewards you’ll get.

How To Free The Earth Giant And Unlock The Giant Village

The Chieftain

To unlock thequests to free the giants, you must first find theChieftain, the leader of the giants.

Once you’ve settled a bit on your farm,The Goddess' voice visits you in your sleepand tells you to go to one of thesacred trees on Coral Island.

When you find a tree,touch the tabletand theChieftain appears. Shocked to see you there, he runs off.

A few days later,you’ll get a letter from the Chieftainasking you to meet him at his home. His home is theGiant Village, butonly the front entrance is availableto you right now.

Meet The Chieftain there, and he’llperform a ceremonyso that you canunderstand the languageon thetabletsand atThe Lake Temple.

The Earth Giant

About three or four game daysafter the ceremony, enter the Cavern and theChieftain will be waiting for you there. He tells you the story of thegiants being turned to stoneand asks you tofree the Earth Giantby entering the Earth Shaft, as he is unable to. This begins thequest called Petrified Giants I.

To navigate the mines on Coral Island,you’ll need to beprepared for mining and combatwith the right tools and foodsto succeed.

To free the Earth Giant,navigate to level 40 of the Earth Shaft, where you’ll find arunic stone encased in vines. Touch the stone and thecurse will be broken, freeing the Earth Giant.

Meet the Chieftain back at the entrancewhere you’ll find the Earth Giant, Grog, no longer encased in stone.

The following day,Grog sends you a letter, asking you to meet him at the Giant Villageso he can open it up for you.

Once the village is open to you,Grog shows you to the enchantment table,which you may use to add certain effects to your tools to make them stronger.

The enchantmentsstart out small, but as youcontinue freeing the giants, they’ll become stronger.

How To Free The Water Giant

Once the Earth Giant is freed, Petrified Giants I is complete. The next quest,Petrified Giants II, begins.

For this quest, you must venture to the bottom of theWater Shaftand free theWater Giant.

Coral Island: Talking to the Chieftain who gives you an Architect Desk

When theWater Giant, Gong, is freed, the next shaft to open up is the Wind Shaft.

The questPetrified Giants IIIis unlocked after freeing the Water Giant.

This quest entailsfreeing the Wind Giant from the Wind Shaft.

Much like the previous giants, you mustjourney to level 40of theWind Shaftand touch the runic stone tobreak the curse.

How To Free The Fire Giant

When you free the Wind Giant,the Fire Shaft opens up.The Chieftain warns you about entering, as hedoesn’t know if the Fire Giant is friend or foe.

In order to find out, you mustget to the bottom of the Fire Shaft,where you’ll discover that theFire Giant, Giu, has also been turned to stone. Touch the tablet tofree him from the curse.

Giu mentions that afifth giant, Gort, is the one whocast the cursethat turned them all to stone. He can supposedly be found in theSavannah, but thatcontent has not yet been added to the game.

How To Use The Architect Desk

About four game days after freeing Giu, theChieftain comes to your farmwith a giftas a thank you for freeing the giants from the stone curse.

It’s anArchitect Desk, an item that, when accessed,calls upon the powers of the giantsto move buildings on your farm.

You must first place the desk on your farm. Then, interact with it topick up any buildingandmove it anywhereon your farm. As you do, it calculates how much the move will cost.

To finalize it,simply click the Finish button.

Currently, the Architect Deskdoesn’t work on console, and there even seems to be a few glitches with it on PC as well.
