Updated July 28, 2025, by Charles Burgar:Now that Season One is wrapping up, now is a great time for returning players to unlock every new item introduced over the last few months. We’ve updated this guide to include detailed information on every new item introduced in Season One, including exact unlock requirements and a brief rundown of how each aftermarket part works.
Season 1 Weapons
Modern Warfare 3’s first season has five new weapons to earn:
Once the season ends, all of these weapons will become obtainable through in-game challenges. View the weapon in the Create-A-Class screen to see what the challenge requires.

Weapon Inspiration
IWI Tavor
The RAM-7 can be obtained fromSector A7 of the Season 1 Battle Pass. It’s identical to its MW2019 version, featuring exceptional handling stats for its archetype and a respectable damage profile. Visual recoil on the RAM-7 is quite aggressive, however, sobuilding this weapon for accuracyis highly recommended.
Remington MSR
The XRX Stalker is found inSector A4 of the Season 1 Battle Pass.It is a reimagined version of the original Modern Warfare 3’s Remington MSR, a sniper rifle that was renowned for its high base damage and quick rechambering speed. It’s statistically comparable to MW2’s MJX Imperium, otherwise known as the Intervention.
This weapon has an excellent damage profile that allows for one-taps from the lower torso and up. It also has a fairly quick rechambering speed of 1.6 seconds and ADS time of 610ms,modifiable through attachments.

Unknown
The Stormender is a new launcher weapon that’s available fromSector A12 in the Season 1 Battle pass. This weapon has a battery-powered magazine that fires lock-on EMP rounds, instantly destroying smaller electronics while disabling larger devices. It does no damage to players.
A single shot from the Stormender can destroy player equipment, UAVs, Counter-UAVs, Sentry Guns, and even Cruise Missiles. And since this weapon doesn’t fire kinetic projectiles, it never has to reload since its ammo is generated passively. It’s the ultimate counter to low-requirement killstreaks and player equipment.

Beretta PMX
The HRM-9 is MW3’s take on the Beretta PMX SMG.This weapon is unlocked by completing every challenge tied to Battle Pass Sector A21.You will need to complete the following:
This SMG features a fast fire rate, great damage to the torso, and great rangewith the right build. It plays identically to the BAS-P from MW2.

FN Evolys
The TAQ Evolvereis an accurate LMG that can be chambered in 7.62 or 5.56 ammunition, configurable through the weapon’s magazine attachment. 7.62 features a higher damage profile but far more recoil and slightly worse handling. It behaves identically to the TAQ rifles seen in Modern Warfare 2.
Perks And Killstreaks
Season 1 has addedone new vest and two killstreaksfor players to use in Multiplayer. All three of these items are obtained from the Armory Challenges system, unlocked at Level 25. You will need to track the items through the Armory Challenges UI and complete daily challenges to unlock these new items.
Immune to UAV and enemy radar effects (including while stationary).

Source
Armory Challenges (3 Daily Challenges)
The Assasin’s Vest isacquired through the Armory Challenges system. You must complete three daily challenge objectives to unlock this item. This vest trades your Field Upgrade slot for a buffed version of the Ghost perk.
This version of Ghost doesnotreveal your location while stationary, making this vest perfect for all stealth builds. It also hides death skulls from enemies you kill to further your stealth effectiveness. Pair this vest with a suppressed weapon to remain completely hidden from enemy radar.

Properties
Destroys all enemy killstreaks and equipment.
Enemies have no HUD and cannot deploy killstreaks for 45 seconds.

13 Kills or 1,625 Score
Armory Challenges (8 Daily Challenges)
The EMP killstreak can beunlocked through the Armory Challenges system, requiring eight daily challenge completions. This killstreak works identically to how it behaved in the original MW2 and MW3. When activated, an EMP will cover the map and destroy all enemy electronics, including any active killstreaks.
After the EMP is used, the enemy team will lose all HUD elements for a short period. This includes team identifiers, making it incredibly difficult to discern friend from foe.

Swarm
Creates dozens of Mosquito Drones that linger for 45 seconds, targeting any enemies outside.
Players can counter this perk with Hijacked IFF Strobe (Cold-Blooded)

15 Kills or 1,875 Score
Black Ops 2’s Swarm killstreak has returned in Modern Warfare 3,obtained from the Armory Challenges systemafter completing eight daily challenges. While the Swarm has the highest kill requirement out of any killstreak, it also has the highest kill potential out of any MW3 killstreak.
Shortly after calling in the Swarm, hundreds of Mosquito Drones will fill the skies and begin to target enemy players.Any players caught outside and without the Hijacked IFF Strobe will be repeatedly targeted by Mosquito Drones. The swarm lasts for roughly 45 seconds before the drones self-destruct. Excluding Cold-Blooded, the only way to counter the Swarm is with the EMP killstreak.
Aftermarket Parts
Nine Aftermarket Parts are available during Modern Warfare 3’s first season, most of which areobtainable through the Weekly Challenge system.Completing five challenges within a given weekly set will unlock that week’s listed attachment. These challenges are available until the end of the season, at which point all Aftermarket Parts you missed will be obtainable through an in-game challenge.
Conversion Kit
Effect
The Rival-9 now fires in three-round bursts. Greatly increases range and recoil control.
Compatible With
Rival-9
Available fromthe first Weekly Challenge set in Season 1, the JAK Headhunter Carbine Conversion turns the Rival-9 SMG into a three-round burst rifle. Equipping this conversion kit increases the Rival-9’s damage to 39 per shot, decreases the fire rate to 681 rounds per minute, and dramatically increases the weapon’s effective range.
Most Weapons
The JAK Bullseye adds a 3D-printed iron sight onto your weapon. This optic is off center and is difficult to aim with, making this a safe skip for most players. It takes a weapon attachment to use the JAK Bullseye, so you might as well install an optic with a clearer sight.
This attachment may be unlocked through thesecond set of Weekly Challenges in Season 1.
Tyr
Eliminate your enemies at a distance with the JAK Beholder Rifle Kit, morphing the Tyr revolver into a long-range sniper rifle that sits in your secondary slot. It features a much greater range stat at the cost of mobility and attachment options. You can unlock this conversion kit through thethird set of Weekly Challenges this season.
The KR Intlas LSJ-3 is a4x magnification optic that comes with a pre-built laser. It is roughly twice as effective as similar aftermarket optics, yet this weapon emits a faint sniper glint while ADS and disables Tac Stance. Additoinally, the laser on this weapon is visible at all times.
You can unlock this optic bycompleting thefourth set of Weekly Challenges this season.
The Holger 556 now fires in four-round bursts. Greatly increases accuracy.
Holger 556
Holger fans can turn the Holger 556 into a four-round burst rifle with the JAK Signal Burst attachment. This conversion kit allows the Holger to kill an enemy in a single burst, although missed shots will drastically increase your TTK value. The conversion kit also comes with a pre-installed laser and optic.
You can earn this attachment bycompleting thefifth set of Weekly Challengesduring this season.
Barrel
Installs a second barrel onto the AMR9, doubling its damage per shot.
The weapon consumes twice as much ammo, has slightly worse damage, and fires slower.
AMR9
The JAK Ettin Double Barrel Kit allows the AMR9 to fire twice as many bullets per trigger pull by installing a second barrel. This effectively doubles your damage, but this comes at the cost of your range stat, overall fire rate, and your base damage. Even with these drawbacks, the Ettin Conversion Kit makes the AMR9 a powerful close-range weapon for aggressive players.
You can earn this attachment bycompleting the sixth set of Weekly Challenges during Season 1.
MW3 Assault Rifles & Battle Rifles
The JAK Purifier is an underbarrel flamethrower that’s earned through theSeason 1 Battle Pass in Sector A14.This weapon deals fairly low damage per hit and can reach out to eight meters. It has an ammo capacity of 300 and cannot be reloaded.
It’s not a particularly strong attachment in Multiplayer, but the flamethrower is a great utility weapon in Zombies.MWZ targets hit by the flamethrower will be temporarily staggered, and each tick of the flamethrower can trigger elemental ammo properties from the installed weapon or the Elemental Pop perk.
Turns the Sidewinder into an LMG.
This weapon gains fire rate as you hold down the trigger.
Sidewinder
If you can’t stand the Sidewinder in core Multiplayer, the JAK Thunder Kit converts this weapon into an LMG with a higher potential RPM. The weapon gains a drum mag and a modified receiver, increasing the weapon’s fire rate the longer you hold down the trigger, up to roughly 1,000 RPM after 15 shots. You can earn this conversion kit through a Battle Pass challenge in Sector A21.
Most Primary Weapons
This attachment provides an absurd boost to your recoil stats, granting 60% less visual recoil, 40% less vertical recoil, and 20% less horizontal recoil. As a consequence, this attachment causes your minimap icon to become upgraded to an Advanced UAV ping, revealing the direction your character is facing. It also has moderate ADS and sprint to fire penalties.
You can earn this muzzle by completing a Battle Pass challenge in Sector A21.
