This life sim-inspired content takes inspiration from games like Animal Crossing, with crafting, bug and fish collecting, building, and more, all with the end goal of achieving a five-star resort.
Dondoko Island will undoubtedly be a fan favourite that players will want to get stuck into ASAP, so here’s a breakdown of all the basics, such as when you may access it, what you can do there, and more.

When Does Donodoko Island Unlock?
Dondoko Islandunlocks in Chapter Sixvia the substory’The Island at Rock Bottom'.
You will automatically start this substory as part of the plot shortly after the cutscenes at the start of the chapter.
What Can You Do On Dondoko Island?
Dondoko Island challenges you to build a five-star island resort. To do that, you’ll becollecting resources, crafting, building a sprawling resort, and inviting gueststo come and stay.
You’ll have to clean up the island and pay to clear out each area at a time, at which point you can begin paying to expand into the rest of the island. The variety of resources you can gather will also grow as you expand.
As you develop Dondoko Island, you’ll unlock new features such as Souvenirs, Dondoko Farm, and more.
How Do You Leave And Return To Dondoko Island?
When you first arrive on Dondoko Island, you’ll have to progress through a couple of days before you get introduced to Dolphine —your ride back to Hawaii. You canspeak to Dolphine on Dondoko Beach (the southermost beach) to return to Hawaii.
When in Hawaii, you can go to thedocks to the east of of Aloha Beach to go to Dondoko Island.
There is a taxi spot right beside the docks to Dondoko Island, so you can simply call a cab from your phone and drive over there to quickly get to your island.
How Can You Convert Dokobucks To Cash?
You canspeak to Dolphine on Dondoko Beachand choose to convert your Dokobucks into cash. You’ll have two options:
10 dollars / 1,000 yen
100 dolklars / 10,000 yen
10,000 Dokobucks
There is no option to change cash into Dokobucks.
Your cash will automatically change between Yen and Dollars depending on whether you are in Hawaii or Japan.
