Once you’ve beaten the main story of the Indigo Disk DLC inPokemon Scarlet and Violet,you gain the ability to receive one Pokemon via trade from almost every major trainer in the game, including Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, and your friends.
These Pokemon all have a special Mark that includes the name of whoever gave you the Pokemon when you use it in battle. On top of having a memento from these characters, some of these Pokemon are rather rare, having special abilities, moves, and Tera Types, so they’re worth collecting beyond just for completion’s sake.
How To Unlock Coaches
You gain the ability to call special coaches for 200 BP immediately after seeing the credits of the Indigo Disk DLC. However, you’reonly able to speak with a limited number of characters at first.
Furthermore, the Blueberry League Elite Four behave the same way. However, instead of calling them, they just show up in the League Club room, where you can speak to them.
You do not have to battle any of them.
Available Immediately
As soon as you complete the DLC, you can call any of the Paldea Gym Leaders or speak to the BB League Elite Four members.
Available After Completing A Certain Number Of Trades
Clavell and the staff of Naranja or Uva Academy will show up after you’ve completed three trades in the League Club Room. However, for all the teachers except Jacq, youhave to have befriended them at the school firstby taking their classes and completing their sidequests.
Rika and Poppy of the Elite Four will arrive after you’ve completed five trades. Geeta is available after you’ve completed eight trades.
you may unlock Cyrano by completing ten tradeswith coaches you called to the school, and spending ten BP to battle the secret boss of Blueberry Academy, this being Cyrano. After defeating him, you can trade.
Available After Completing the Epilogue
Once you’ve completed Mochi Mayhem, Nemona, Penny, and Arven will be able to be called as special coaches, while Carmine and Kieran will show up in the League Club Room on their own.
How To Unlock Trades
For each trainer, you can trade with them afteryour third unique conversation with them.
You cannot trade them shinies, Legendary Pokemon, or any Pokemon where you are not the original trainer.
For coaches, that means the third time you invite them and talk to them,and for Blueberry Academy students, it’s the third time they show up on their own.
If you want the Blueberry students to switch out, you have to move the date on your Switch forward a day.
The exception is Cyrano, who trades with you after you defeat him.
