Bowling is the name of the game when it comes toThe Sims 4: Bowling Night Stuff. Going out bowling with your friends, on a date, or playing solo is tons of fun for your Sims. With a variety of trick shots and throws, no two games are going to be alike. It’s also a great way to show off your skills.

But, it’s no fun to watch your Sim trip over their own shoes and fail every frame. Fortunately, that’s what building up your skills is for. By leveling up and building your bowling skill, your Sim can be playing like a pro in no time.

How To Increase Your Bowling Skill

The only way to level up your bowling skills in The Sims 4: Bowling Night Stuff is togo bowling. While out traveling with your Sim, head to any bowling alley. These can be downloaded from The Gallery or you can build one yourself, but you’ll need to put one in the world because there are none there by default.

Once there, click on a lane tochoose between playing a solo game or bowling with other Simson the lot. You can also pick between aTenFrame Game, aFiveFrame Game, and aThreeFrame Game. None of these options changes anything about the gameplay beyond how long a game takes to complete.

When bowling, you’ll be able to see your Sim’s progress bar above their head. For each frame your Sim plays, they’ll gain progress inthe skill bar for bowling. The bar goes up by around a quarter each frame, regardless of whether they got a good score or a bad one.

Luckily, this skill levels up very quickly, and by playing just one Ten Frame Game, your Sim will be nearly level three. The bowling skill is only a minor skill, sothe maximum level you can reach is five.

Playing frames is the only way to increase your bowling skill in The Sims 4, so you’ll need to head out on the town and play a few games. Unlike some other skills, there is no bowling skill book you can purchase. Unless you have a bowling alley in your basement, you can’t build this skill from home.

Being a higher level at bowling doesn’t change the gameplay much, as you just watch your Sims play the game and receive a score pop-up at the end. Your Sim will throw trick shots more often and more successfully the higher the level they are, though.

How To Cheat The Bowling Skill

If you want to skip all the work and max your Sim’s skill out immediately, bring up the cheat console by hittingShift + Ctrl + Con PC orall four triggerson controllers. Then, type in the cheat ‘stats.set_skill_level skill_bowling’ followed by a number from one to five. The number is what level you want the skill to be set to.

By typing the cheat followed by five, you’ll max out your bowling skill instantly. This gets you a few perks when playing at the local alley.
