My Time at Sandrockis a wonderful game in many ways, but one of the things that immediately stands out the most is its charming art style. And after spelunking your way through the Abandoned Ruins over at Eufala Salvage and reassembling some relics, you’ll have a functional camera to capture all your memories.

Find the pieces of the camera relic leftover from the Day of Calamity and unlock a full photo mode, which includes selfies with all sorts of poses and expressions. It also adds the option for you to take Group Photos with your favorite townsfolk in Sandrock.

Where To Find The Camera

Find Three Pieces Of The Camera Relic In The Abandoned Ruins

It seems that cameras are a thing of the past in My Time at Sandrock, since you need tocollect pieces of it from the Abandoned Ruins.

In order to do this, you’ll need to have finishedbuilding the Crane Lift at Eufala Salvage, and also have anaccess pass to the salvage yardin order to get down into the Abandoned Ruins.

Once inside, check out the list of what’s available on each floor before deciding where to go. It may take a few trips, but you’ll find all three pieces of the camera relic on any floor where the camera icon is shown when selecting a level.

There arethree total piecesof the camera to be found, andeach piece is numbered. You’ll only findone of each piece.

If youupgrade your Analysis Chipin your scanner from the level select menu in the Abandoned Ruins, you’ll be able totell what an item is from afarwhen scanning in the mines.

This is helpful to have when looking for any specific relics or parts - the camera, and others!

Reassemble The Camera At The Museum

Once you have all three pieces of the camera, head over tothe Museum, which is by the sparring arena and Game Center if you haven’t been yet.

Inside, themachine in the back of the room on the rightis called theRelic Restoration Machine. Interact with the machine. You can restore the camera in exchange forall three camera relic piecesandten Data Discs, which you’ll most likely have on hand from digging for camera relics.

After the camera has been built,interact with it in your inventoryto formally unlock the camera in My Time at Sandrock - it doesn’t work until you use it from your inventory first.

How To Take Pictures

After you’ve unlocked the camera in My Time at Sandrock, you can find it on yourquick wheel, which is where you’ve been performing your quick saves. You can alsoclick the camera in your inventoryto bring up the function.

Once the camera has been pulled up, you’ll have a number of different options. You canchoose a pose and expressionfor your builder, orchoose to omit them from the pictureentirely on the second tab if you need to take a shot of something else.

On theleft side of the screenwhen using the camera, you’ll see plenty of differentcamera controls. This includes things like panning up and down, showing a grid to help you line up the perfect picture, an option to hide the UI, and so much more.

When youuse the camera to take the photo, the image will be saved in youralbum, which is indicated by thepolaroid photo iconon your menu.

These tend to be of lower quality, though, so if you’re trying to take a photo for yourself, hiding the UI and taking a screenshot is the way to go.

How To Take Photos With NPCs

Group photosin My Time at Sandrock also unlock once you’ve reassembled the camera, and they’re a great way toearn more relationship pointswith the townsfolk you include.

If you’d like to take a photo with a townie,talk to themnormally, and choose the newcamera iconin their dialogue options bar.

The two of you willpose togetherin a number of ways (try changing poses and expressions for more varied shots), and you’re able to snap a shot of you and your pal for the album.
