How To Survive Quicksand

Quicksand may be scary, but there areseveral ways to get out of it, depending on the situationat hand, though yourbest defenseagainst it is alwaysavoiding it entirely.

If you or one of your teammates hasjust walked into the quicksandpool, all you need to do issprint backwardout of the pool, andyou’ll escape itwithout problems.

Thecloser you are to the centerof a quicksand pool, theharder it is for you to escape.

For example, having full stamina and around five to ten pounds of scrap on you gives you around five seconds to escape before you totally sink if you keep moving.

Carrying agreater amount of scrap, such asaround 40 to 60 poundsworth, won’t make you sink any faster, but yourspeed will be greatly diminished, and you’ll have amuch harder time escaping.

Alwayskeep at least half your stamina bar fullif you’re on a Rainy moon, just in case youaccidentally run or fall into quicksand.

It’spossible to prevent your deathby quicklydropping any scrap you’re carryingwhile movingtowards land, but you’ll alsolose that scrap for goodin the quicksand, though it can be worth it to prevent more loss.
