As you kick off and face the challenges of surviving the entire night, it’s crucial to learn how to make the most of the resources you come across. Managing your time wisely is key because every second counts right from the start. Fortunately, this guide is here to help you navigate through and successfully survive your first night.
How To Loot
As you begin the first objective, you’ll see"Go inside your house.“Just go into the house to move on to the next objective, which is “Listen to the radio.“Do you really have to listen to the radio?No, because once you start listening, the game will give you instructions, and the timer will begin. Time is valuable in this game, so keep that in mind.
Before you listen to the radio, verify toopen all the doors for easier navigation in the house. Familiarize yourself with the layout,noting the locationsof cameras, windows, and the hut where the generator is. This will help you efficiently move around and find what you need.
While you can’t set up cameras or barricade windows yet,you can still loot. As a final step before listening to the radio,navigate through your house to find useful itemslike a wrench, soda cans, and a flashlight. You will also find an extra battery for the flashlight.
Use the flashlight cautiouslyto conserve batteries throughout the night. Only use it when necessaryto verify you have enough power for the entire night.
All theitems you require can be found on the shelves and in the drawers. Specifically, locate the flashlight on the drawer of the room adjacent to the radio room.
How To Prepare For The Night
Once you listen to the radio, your first step for survival begins, and it’s all about"Preparing for the night.“To get ready, you need to complete some tasks, bearing in mind the ticking clock.
While you can prepare for the night in your own way, it’s recommended to follow a specific order for efficiency and time-saving.
To start, head outside and go behind the house to set up the cameras.One is on the back wall of the house, and the second one is on the tree in front of the first.Interact with the ladder next to the hutcontaining the generator, place it in the desired spot, thenclimb up to the camerasand click on them to set them up.
Before proceeding to set up the third camera,enter the hut and refill the generator. You’ll find the fuel can on your right, on the ground. Interact with it to pick it up, then click on the generator to fill it in.Each process will fill 30 percentof the generator. Don’t worry; we’ll refill it one more time as the final step before our night of survival begins.
Following that,proceed to set the last cameralocated in front of the front door on the electric pole. Grab the ladder, use it, and set the camera just as you did before.
Now, we’ve reached one of the most crucial steps;barricading the windows.To accomplish this, head to the upper floor using the ladder andgo to the bedroom. You’ll find planks on the ground; interact with them, thenuse the hammer to barricade windows. Each interaction with planks allows you to grab three planks, so you can barricade three windows at a time.
While you have the option to use three planks for each window, it’s advisable not to do so.Save the planks for more windows; using one plank for each window is sufficient.
As 10 PM approaches, go outside and head to the hut torefill the generator once again before the clock strikes twelve. Ensure to refill the generator until it reaches 100 percent.
Simply return to the house and wait until it’s midnight to receive the new objective, “Survive the night.”
How To Survive The Night
To survive the whole night, you must keep all your senses alert. While you canuse the cameras to spot the creaturein your windows, also listen carefully to the surrounding sounds.
Before the creature breaks one of the windows,you’ll hear the sound of its inhaling and exhaling. While the sound might not be very clear, it can provide you with some extra time. However,the most helpful indication is the sound of the window breaking, as it makes it easier for you to spot the creature.
Continuously move between the lower and upper floorsto spot the creature.Be cautious when using the ladder; ensure you climb it all the way to the top before getting off. If you attempt to get off before reaching the top of the ladder, you will fall and need to start again from the first. This is not ideal when you’re striving to reach the top floor for survival.
When you locate the window where the creature is,turn on the lights inthe room to make it run away. However, remember to turn off the lights as well.
As you get closer to the windows, the creature’s glowing eyes will make it easy to spot.
While the lights keep you safe, exercise caution because overloading the power bykeeping the lights on can lead to a power failure, requiring you to go outside to fix it.Remember to use the wrenchif you need to go outside to repair the electricity.Be careful to identify the correct wireby observing where the spark is. And you’ll find the electricity meter box behind the house.
While it’s possible to conserve electricity without causing disruption, we still need to go outside to refill the generator.If the generator runs out, the oxygen bar begins to decrease, making it difficult for the character to breathe and eventually leading to death as the oxygen bar runs out.
To refill the generator, do it after encountering the creature, providing you with time to go outside, refill the generator, and return without any problems.It’s crucial to refill the generator after encountering the creature, even if you don’t need it immediately, to prevent the risk of running out at an inconvenient time. Upon your return,check all the windows on the lower floorbefore heading upstairs to the upper floor.
When you need to go outsideto refill the generator or fix the electricity,that is the perfect time to drink the soda. It gives you more energy, allowing you to maintain the sprint bar for a longer period.
Throughout the night, use the sprint bar carefully, as it takes some time to fill up again.
Maintain all these processes throughout the whole night until 6 AM to ensure your survival. Be prepared for the game’s difficulty, and don’t be discouraged. It may take multiple attempts to beat it.
