As is the tagline of the series, players have been trying to catch every Pokemon since way back in 1996. Yet no matter how close you get, another game is always right around the corner so you can fill up that pokedex all over again.The Indigo Disk DLChas brought a few new Pokemon with it, alongside some unexpected returns.
Chief amongst those is Meleotta, a mythical Pokemon that first appeared in the Black and White games. Except the means of their appearance is, to put it lightly, a tad obscure. It’s frankly a blessing they were even found. So let’s detail to you definitely exactly how they’re found.
To give credit where it is due, this discovery was the result of the whole community coming together, rather than any one individual or publication.
Where Is Meloetta Found?
First and foremost to discovering Meloetta is the knowledge that you don’t need to complete the story first.As soon as you’re let free in the Terrarium, you can encounter Meloetta.
They are found in theCoastal Biome, to the East of the Outdoors Classroom, the large gazebo. More specifically, it is found ina lower area that has waterfalls nearby.
It is important to stress that it truly isalmost exactly East from the fast travel pointof the Outdoors Classroom.
Though the details are minute, you should see leaves being blown in the wind, roughly circling the area you need to stand in. The area for activation seems to be quite precise, so for ease,try to stand beside the exact bush shown above, located near the centre of the area. It can be identified by its proximity to the waterfalls.
From here, you can spawn Meloetta.
How To Spawn Meloetta
Unlike most Pokemon, Meloetta is not a Pokemon you simply find -they have to be summoned. To do this, you need to stand in the exact spot detailed above as there is very little room for error.
Once in position,you need to perform three tasks:
If you’ve done all of this correctly, the music you have playing should beinterrupted by the sound of Meloetta singing. Once you hear this, she will have spawned nearby.
At this point, it’s as simple aswalking up to her and interactingto start the battle.
Make sure to save beforehand in case you fail to capture her. Her position is maintained upon reloading, so you don’t have to repeat the summoning process.
Congratulations! You’ve accomplished the exceedingly unusual task of spawning and (hopefully) capturing Meloetta in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet!
