Not only doesPalworldhave locales that suffer from extreme heat waves, but it also has locations that could turn you into an ice block in an instant. If you’re planning to explore the whole map, you will want to be prepared for both extremely hot and extremely cold weather.
The Tundra, some nighttime areas of otherwise normal temperatures, and the nighttime Desert are all places where the temperatures drop below freezing or at least cold enough to cause discomfort. If you aren’t prepared, you might even freeze to death. Luckily, there are a few ways you can keep yourself warm on a cold night.

What Is Cold Weather?
Cold Weatheris classified by any timethe temperature gaugeat the bottom left of your screen hits thelight or dark blue section.
Light bluemeans you’rea little coldand shouldseek shelter or warmth, while adarker bluemeans you’re about tofreezeto death and need to warm up as soon as possible.

You will experience Cold Weatherat nightin thetemperate zones,at nightin theDesert, and in theTundra.
TheDesert and Tundrahave themost extremetemperature drops, but you’ll still need at least apair of regular clothesto be comfortable on the temperate Spawn Island.

There area few waysto keep yourself warm when the temperature drops below freezing, but thebest waysare tostay near fire sourcesorwear warm clothing.
you’re able to alsobuild a shelterto keep you protected from the elements.

The Best Clothes And Armor For Cold Weather
Easily themost reliableway to stay nice and toasty is to craft yourself agood pair of clothes. There are a few levels of winter weather clothes for you to craft, but all of themprotect you from the extreme cold.
You willneed clothto create clothing. To get cloth, you mustrefine it in the Primitive WorkbenchfromPal Wool.you’re able to get Pal Woolas a drop fromspecial Pals, including the early-game Pals,Cremis and Lamball.

Luckily, there are several levels of Cold-Resistant Clothing you can craft, meaning you canupgrade your armor ratingwithout sacrificing warmth or style.
Here is a list of clothing you can craft to keep you safe from those icy gales.

Cold Resistant Pal Metal Armor
TheCloth Outfit and Pelt Armorwill keep youmoderately warm, but theywon’t protect youfrom severeTundra-level temperatures.
Bring Fire Element Pals For Cold Weather
Another good way to protect yourself from the elements is to adventure with your Fire Element Pals byyour side.
Fire Element Pals willwarm the immediate vicinityaround them. Standing close to your Fire Element Pals when they are summoned to your side willwarm you up,but itisn’t enoughto protect you fromfreezing temperatures.
Traveling with the early-game Fire Element PalFoxparksbeside you not onlykeeps you a bit warmer butalso provides you withextra lightat night. All Fire Element Palslight up the surrounding area.
Thebest Palyou can have in your party for cold climates is, by far,Arsox. Similar to the way Reindrix keeps riders cold in Hot Weather, Arsox willprotect its rider from the extreme cold.
Arsox’s Partner Skill Warm Bodykeeps the riderwarmin cold environments. Arsox must beactively in the environmentto benefit from its Partner Skill.
Base Equipment That Provides Warmth
As you level up your player level, you will gain technology points that can be traded for special schematics and crafting recipes in your technology menu.
Quite a few types of base equipment and tools are at your disposal for keeping warm.
All fire sourcesprovide warmth.
When you first enter Palworld, you will need to have made at least a campfire or torch to protect you from the nighttime cold. Luckily, both the torch and campfire are early-game recipes and can be unlocked shortly after entering the game.
Here is the list of Technology items that you can craft to keep you warm in Palworld’s wilds.
Electric Heater
While theHeater and Campfireprovide thesame amount of heatfor your character, the Heater isworth the extra materialrequirements because Pals and people who pass over itwill not catch on fire.
It’s Colder At Night
Similar to the way traveling at night in the Desert can save you from overheating, traveling through theTundra in the daytimeis slightlywarmer than traveling at night.
Nighttime temperaturesin the Tundra willexpedite the death-by-cold-weather effect, but you will still experience the’freezing’debuff during thedaytime.
While traveling through the Tundra during the daywill not save you from freezing, it willbuy you some timeto get to a warmer location or to build warming equipment and clothes.
Having aFire Element Pal at your sidein the daytime Tundrawill save you from freezingto death, but you muststay beside that Pal, and you must at least have a torch handy or be wearing theTundra Outfit.
Final Tips For Staying Warm In Palworld
Building a shelterof some kind - even temporary - can be the difference between being mildly chilly andfreezing to death.
Additionally, you can placeWall Torches, Mounted Torches, and Fireplacesin your house toadd to the warming effectyou experience whenindoors.
Your shelter does not have to be fancy, but even just creating aone-block structurewhileon the gocan be the difference between survival and a frozen grave.
Don’t worry about cluttering the landscape with your makeshift shelters as you travel. As time goes on,structures decay, and theydecay more quicklywhen not protected by aPal Box’s range.
It is worth it tospend the extra materialsbuilding shelters just to stay warm. Eventually, those hastily built lean-tos willsuccumb to the elements, but you will live to adventure another day.
Shelters only work if they arecomplete with a roof. Really, all you need arethree walls and a roof, but if youdon’t have a roof, then the shelter is consideredincomplete, and youwon’t get any bonusesfrom it.
