The Talos Principle 2offers a philosophical journey through a thought-provoking narrative where the post-apocalyptic remnants of human civilization are inhabited by sentient robots. As you explore the world and story, you’ll get to form your own opinions on their overarching dilemma: is it better to stay safe and never progress, or to grow and risk annihilation?
Before you get to embark on your journey, however, you’ll need to crack some sigil doors by locating sigils locked behind various puzzles in the game’s introduction. The final puzzle of the introduction, Ascension Awaits, synthesizes all the mechanics introduced in previous puzzles—fans, wires, hexahedrons, connectors and pressure plates—into a test of your problem-solving abilities.
The Ascension Awaits Puzzle Walkthrough
Upon entering the puzzle chamber, you’ll see a deactivated fan in front of the entrance, connected to a wall switch. Thiswall switch will activate the fan, but hold off on that: you don’t want the fan turned on yet.
Walk forward and pick up the hexahedron block on the ground to the right of the energy wall, andplace it onto the fan.
Next, pick up the connector to the left of the energy wall and return to the fan. Connect this connector tothe red generatoron the wall above the wall switch, and also tothe red receiverbehind the energy wall. Place this connectoron top of the hexahedron block.
For the moment, the red power line will becomeblocked by the energy wall. To fix this,use the wall switch, which will turn on the fan andelevate both the hexahedron and the connectorso that the red receiver is powered on.
After this, the energy wall will open and the final sigil of the introduction will be yours for the taking.
