How To Unlock The Airport
Once you unlock the transportation services inthe fourth milestone,The Grand Village, the airport becomes available as an option in the transportation development tree.
To unlock the airport, you requirefour development points. This becomes an available option immediately after gaining access to basic transportation services. In the development tree,the airport is named “Air”.

While an airport adds significant value, it may not be a top priority in the early milestones due to itshigher costs.
How To Set Up The Airport
Setting up an airport is relatively straightforward, following the same steps as other transportation services. Itbegins with the airport setupandconcludes with establishing the airplane lines.
How To Build An Airport
When deciding on the location for the airport building, remember tochoose a spot that is somewhat distant from your citybutclose to the highway. This is recommended for optimal functionality and to avoid interference with other buildings.
When selecting the location for your airport,terraforming the landin and around the chosen area is important. Consider the space the airport occupies anduse the Terraforming Tool from the Landscaping, then use the Level Terrain Tool toflattenthe land as needed.

Once the terrain is prepared, you can proceed to set up the airport building on a perfectly flat surface. Don’t forget toensure the airport is accessible from the roadto complete the setup.
The Airport building involves a significant initial cost of 750,000, with a monthly upkeep of 100,000. Itadds a five percent boost to Attractivenessand athree percent improvement in Office Efficiency. Additionally, it providesfive gates for creating airplane lines.

The airport serves as apassenger terminal for planes, allowing your city to establish flight connections. Moreover, after completing the setup of your airport, you’ll discover three differentupgrades that become visible when clicking on the airportbuilding.
All the upgrades may not be essential during the initial airport setup, as each one demands a significant budget.

How To Connect Airplane Lines
You can establish airplane lines using either thePassenger Airplane Line Toolor theCargo Airplane Route Tool. Simplyclick on the chosen line tool, and you’ll see visual points with aplane icon at the airportand,if upgraded, also at the Cargo Terminal.
Hover over these points to see the option to’create a new route starting here'. Click on it, thenzoom out to view the outside air connections, and thenclick on the desired outside connection pointsto establish a new airplane line.

To close the line,return to your airportandclick on the same starting pointto create a loop line. The process is similar to setting up other transportation services.
You have the option to create a line on multiple outside connections.After selecting the first outside connection,click on othersaround the map before returning to your airport to close the line.

How To Manage Airplane Lines
Thankfully, managing transportation in this game is made easy. You can handle all transportation aspects through thetransportation menu, accessing comprehensive details for each transportation option.
To access all airplane lines,click on the airplane iconin the transportation menu. This opens a panel where you canclick on the details iconfor each line. From there, you can manage various details such as schedule, color, ticket price, and the vehicles in use.
