As a general rule,FreeKickAccuracyandCurveare more important forcloser free kicks, whileShotPoweris the most important attribute forlonger kicks.
Once you’ve selected the perfect specialist for your occasion, it’s time to focus ongetting the ball around the walland into the net.

How To Score A Free Kick
To score a free kick, you muststrike the perfect balance of power and movement or curveon the ball to ideally usher it into one of the top corners.
Aside from your kicktaker, you can bring additional players into your kicking routine to confuse opponents, though this tactic is optional and more based on your style.

The most important thing to remember is that you mustrelease the shooting button before the power bar maxes outor your kick will miss every time.
You must learn tofill the power bar to only around three full sections, with the distance of your free kick determining exactly how much more power and curve you may need to score.

Youraim placement should barely avoid the side of the wallat shorter distances, but you must add slightly more space to account for the ball’s curve during long-range kicks.
The amount of times you must rotate your right stick varies depending onthe Curve attributeof your player.
Players with 90-99 Curve require fewer rotationsto put a curve on the ball and each rotation gives more movement than players with 89 Curve or under.
Unlike in prior entries, repositioning the contact point of your kick can alter the style of your shot to be one of the following:
The in and out-swinging free kicks will be the most useful for scoring your free kicks consistently in EA Sports FC 24.
Scoring Short-Range Kicks
You have a little bit of flexibility to be aggressive with your power selection depending on the angle you’re approaching from.
Generally, you want tocap your power bar at about three full bars, maybe up to 3.2 bars if your kicktaker doesn’t have Shot Power above 85.
Thecurve is usually far more of a defining factor at close range, as it’s possible to ruin a perfect power placement by not getting enough of a curling arc on the ball.
Any free-kick specialist with the Dead Ball PlayStyle Plus should be able to score from this range with ease if youaim just a fraction away from the wall, so the ball has space to curl around the player on the edge.
attempt to put as little space as possible between the ball’s flight path and the wall once you get comfortable.
However, your primary focus should belearning to avoid the wall first.
Scoring Medium-Range Kicks
Getting your power right on medium-range kicks can be very tricky as the distance varies more than the other categories.
At a minimum, you needabout 3.2 bars of power, up to 3.5 barsto compensate for someone with lower Shot Power.
Once you fill your power bar, rotate your stick in thesamedirectionthat you wantthe ball to curl toward.
Rotate your right stick aboutthreetimesif the player’s curve isabove 90, but increase to five or more rotations the lower their Curve attribute is.
Scoring Long-Range Kicks
Long-range free kicks are incredibly risky, both due to the long amount of time the goalkeeper has to react to your shot, and also due to thetight window of opportunity to get the power right.
You need toland somewhere between 3.5 and 3.9 bars of power, though be exceptionally careful not to hold on too long, as this distance can be nearly impossible to get right if there’s even a bit of lag.
Give yourself plenty of space to clear the wall and get to the3.6-3.7 bar rangeif your player has aShot Power of around 90or above.
You will need to get as close to 3.9 bars of power without hitting the cap if your player has lower Shot Power than 90 or so.
Ifthe free kick feels likeit needs to be perfect to go in, then consider pivoting to a passing free kick with multiple kicktakers around the ball to deceive your opposition.
