Landmines inLethal Companycan simultaneously be a non-issue, and a pretty big threat when you encounter them. These mines are often placed in spots designed to catch you off-guard, like near pipes or on staircases, and even with their loud beeps, they can be difficult to spot.

you’re able to pass by most of them safely, but at times they’ll spawn in a place that won’t let you slip by them, or you don’t want to accidentally run into a mine while escaping a creature. There’s no turning them off with a computer either. Here’s how to disable Landmines safely, so you and your teammates can avoid one more way to die.

How To Disable Land Mines

If you’ve spotted a landmine in the complex and need to get rid of it before someone gets blown up, there aretwo waysyou candeal with them safely: throwable items likeStun Grenades, Homemade Flashbangs, or with theExtension Ladder.

You candetonate Landmineswithmelee weapons like the Shovel or the Stop Signby hitting them, but yourun the risk of killing yourself or your teammatesin the process.

Throwable Items

WithStun Grenadesorother throwable items, you’ll need toposition yourself several steps awayfrom the Landmine. Formines in a hallwayor around a corner, you can try toget around it for a better angle.

If the mine ison the stairs, and youcan’t throw anything at itfrom your current angle, you canslip past itif it’sclose enough to one edge, or carefullyjump onto the railing, and use it to get up to the other floor andthrow the item down onto it.

You can use aLandmine’s blast radiustokill certain enemiessuch as Brackens, Hoarding Bugs, and Thumpers, if youlure them to one, thenthrow an item onto itto make it detonate.

Extension Ladder

If you can’t use throwable items for a Landmine, you can also make use of theExtension Laddertodetonate it from afar.

Activate the Extension Ladder, thenplace it several steps awayfrom the landmine. Once it’s down, all you need to do iswait for the Extension Ladder to fallonto the Landmine, let it detonate, then pick up the Ladder again.

You candetonate multiple Landmineswith asingle Extension Ladder or Stun Grenade, even if the grenade has been used.
