How To Reset A Character’s Talent Points

High Factotum Janris Danrokis one of the many crew members on the Von Valancius flagship that introduce themselves at the end of the Prologue. He can be foundnear the Galaxy Map, standing by a console just off to the side opposite the Command Throne.

Speaking to Janris allows you torespec any member of your party; select the dialogue option that statesyour retinue is in need of training, and he’ll bring up the talent reset screen.

Resetting a character’s Talents lets you choose new upgrades forevery Rank that they’ve earned by leveling up, even ones that they earned before they joined your retinue. You cannot, however, change their base stats and skills, nor theirHomeworld,Origin, orStarting Archetype.

You can change a character’s second Archetype, in case Vanguard Cassia isn’t working out for you like you thought it would.

How To Create Custom Companions

If you have a very specific party build in mind, or you’ve fired your entire retinue because you suspect them of heresy and treason, Janris also allows you torecruit custom companionsby telling him that youwish to recruit skilled fighters.Doing so brings you to aCharacter Creation screensimilar to the one at the beginning of the game.

Custom characters have all the same options available to them as the Lord Captain, but theydo not get a Moment of Triumph or Darkest Hour.They alsocannot be xenos or abhumans, so no filling out your entire team with Astartes and Drukhari.
