Harsh weather is a fact of life inMy Time At Sandrock. Besides the monsters, difficult environment, and a lack of resources, the people of Sandrock also have to deal with sandstorms. These natural events bring high winds, lots of sand, and sometimes even damage people and property.

In the wake of a particularly strong sandstorm, the Blue Moon Saloon’s stage gets wrecked, and it’s up both Mi-an and you to help fix it up. In this guide, we’ll not only show you how to start The Show Must Go On, but we’ll also tell you everything you need to know to build the stage pieces and help Owen.

How To Unlock The Show Must Go On

After completing the tutorial missions, acquiring your workshop, andcompleting Picking Up The Slack, you’ll experience your first sandstormthree days later.

Sandstorms not onlydamage you if you aren’t properly protectedby equipment like theSand Hat, but they bring with it an increase in sand, whichyou’ll have to clean off your machines in order to keep them running.

Days with sandstorms are aperfect time to go digging in ruinswhere the stormcan’t cause visibility issues.

Theday afterthis sandstorm, you’ll get a cutscene of the damage and discover that the sandstorm hasdestroyed the stage. Mi-an will greet you outside your home, and tell you thatMatildahas asked you both tocome to the stage.

Head over to the Blue Moon andspeak to Matilda. She’ll ask both you and Mi-an tohelp rebuild the stage. You’llhave a choiceof which part you want to build: theStage Supportor theStage Backdrop. Mi-an will handle building the piece you didn’t pick.

Your design choicedoes not affect your rewards, only the part you’ll focus on building, and you’ll also receiveboth recipesas part of the quest.

Once you’ve picked the piece you want to build, you’ll need tosalvage the stage, and doing so will give you afew of the materials you’ll needfor either piece.

Salvaging the stage requires aBronze Pickhammeror better, which can becrafted at aWorkbenchfrom Bronze Ingots, Wood Sticks, a Sharpening Stone, and Copper Screws.

How To Build The Stage Support

To build the Stage Support, you’re going to needseveral more advanced materials, and you’ll need to have researched andbuilt a Processorto make them.

Like the Grinder, the Processor blueprint isresearched at Qiandcosts one Data Diskto do so.

Having aBronze Axe, whichcosts the same materialsas the Bronze Pickhammer to make, will makefinding enough wood easier.

Crafted fromBricksat aProcessor. Bricks can be obtained bysmelting Stonein aFurnace.

Crafted fromWoodat aProcessor. You can also obtain them frombreaking down opened treasure chestswith your axe.

Unlocking theTreasure Knowledgeperkin your Knowledge tabwill allow you tosee Treasure Chests on your map.

How To Build The Stage Backdrop

If you’ve decided to build theStage Backdrop, you’ll have adifferent list of materialsyou’ll need in order to build it, and you’ll alsoneed to have a Grinderavailable.

Crafted fromCopper Barsat aGrinder.

You’ll need topurchase the recipefor it from theCommerce Guild Store, and it costsaround 40 Gols.

Glass x5

Crafted fromDinasat aFurnace. Dinas can be obtained frommining Gravelor Hard Rocks, as well asdigging through the dirt in ruinssuch as at theEufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins.

Copper Loudspeaker x4

Crafted fromCopper BarsandOld Partsat aWorkbench. BothCopper OreandOld Partscan be obtained inEufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins.

How To Repair The Stage

Once you’ve built either the Stage Support or the Stage Backdrop,it’s time toinstall them. Head over to theBlue Moon, andapproach the wallwhere the stage was.

Decide which quality pieceyou want to install, andconfirm it. Mi-an will appear as soon as you do, and the two of you willinstall your respective stage pieces.

Locate andspeak to Matilda, and she’ll thank you for your part in repairing the stage. In return, you’llreceive several rewards: 800 Gols, 1,000 Experience Points, 25 Workshop Reputation, a Desert Defender Shirt, and 10 Relationship Points with both Matilda and Mi-an.
