Summary
Genshin Impacthas a wide roster of characters, each with their own unique fighting style and mechanics. Through the years, the game has slowly introduced new ways to make combat more unique and exciting by incorporating other weapons in characters’ animations. Aside from the usual swords, polearms, claymores, bows and catalysts, you may also find knives, staffs, crossbows, and, with the release ofNavia, even guns.
Navia is a five-star Claymore user who wields a Geo vision. Aside from her claymore, she can also use a gun hidden in her umbrella to deal heavy damage. Know how to utilize her artillery correctly to make the most out of her fun kit.

6Crystallize Is Useful Now
Naviawill gain a stack of Crystal Shrapnel whenever your characters pick up a shard created by the Crystallize reaction. These stacks are used as ammo for her Elemental Skill, which allows Navia to fire her Gunbrella and deal one instance of damage, similar to using a shotgun.
Navia can hold up to six of these stacks. The number of stacks she currently has is indicated by bullet icons next to her model. The damage of her Elemental Skill will increase depending on how many stacks she has when you use it. This meansthe more stacks you have, the more damage her Skill will deal.

Navia’s Elemental Skillhas a tap-and-hold version. Tapping her Skill instantly fires all Crystal Shrapnel she currently possesses.
Meanwhile, holding the Skill lets you enter Aiming Mode, similar to a bow character’s Charged Attack and Nahida’s Hold Skill.

While in Aiming Mode, Navia will absorb all nearby Crystallize shards before firing, eliminating the need to manually pick up the shards.
5Pyro, Electro, Cryo And Hydro Characters Are A Must
Because Navia needs Crystallize shards to load up her Gunbrella,it’s important to have characters whose elements react with Geoin your team. These elements arePyro, Electro, Cryo, and Hydro.
You need to choose characters whose abilities canapply elements off-field and for a long duration,so you may trigger Crystallize while Navia is busy on the field. Some examples areXiangling, Kuki Shinobu, Kaeya, and Xingqiu.

Crystallize shards can be created once every second, and the number of shards created scales with the number of enemies.
With this, pairing Navia with characters who can apply a lot of elements fast and have AoE will help create more Crystallize shards.

4Take Advantage Of Mutual Assistance Network
After ascending Navia four times, you’ll unlock herFourth Ascension passive, Mutual Assistance Network. This passive provides the following effects:
For the last team member, you canuse another Geo character like Zhongli, Albedo or even Yun Jin to activate Geo Resonance. This will increase your shield strength by 15 percent, provide 15 percent increased damage when you’re under a shield, and decrease enemies’ Geo Resistance by 20 percent when you deal damage to them.

3You Can Play Navia In Different Ways
Navia’s Skill has two charges. After you activate her First Ascension Passive, she gets a Geo infusion on her Normal, Charged and Plunging Attacks for four secondsthat can’t be overridden by other elemental infusions. With this, you may play her in two ways:
Navia can squeeze up tofive Normal Attacks during her four-second Geo infusion.
After you perform five Normal Attacks, immediately use her Skill again. This not only extends her infusion time, but the Skill animation also cancels the hit lag from her Normal Attack animation.
Hit lag is the downtime before you can perform another action, doing this attack chain allows you to attack more smoothly.
This factor of Navia’s Skill makes her extremely versatile in both playstyle and teambuilding. Her quick swap playstyle is also useful in many ways, such as when you’repairing her with another DPS, when you need tobattery someone else using her Geo particleslike Noelle, or when you need toswitch to another character to recast an ability or trigger a weapon’s passive.
Don’t use Navia’s Skills consecutively. Even if you’re playing her in a quick swap team,it’s better to space her two Skills apart so that you’re able to collect enough Crystallize shards in between Skill uses. This way, both instances of her Skill will deal more damage.
2Her Skill Deals Ousia-Aligned Damage
Fontaine has a unique combat and exploration mechanic known asArkhe, which is composed of two contrasting energies, Pneuma and Ousia. Fontaine characters and the Hydro Traveler can release one type of this energy based on their innate Arkhe alignment.
An easy way to differentiate Pneuma and Ousia is to observe their colors.Pneuma glows a shade of yellow while Ousia glows a shade of purple.
For Navia, she’s able to deal Ousia-aligned damage through her Elemental Skill, represented by a purple blast. Ousia can only be released every seven seconds. This mechanic can be used in a variety of ways.
1Use Her Elemental Burst At The Start
Navia’s Elemental Burst deals an initial instance of Geo damage to enemies and thenfires cannonballs that last for a set duration. The damage isn’t very impressive because that’s not what it’s made for. Navia willgain a stack of Crystal Shrapnel whenever a cannonball hits an enemy, which can be triggered every two and a half seconds. This allows you to gain stacks for her Skill much faster.
The best way to make use of her Burst is to cast it at the very beginning of your team’s rotation. This is so that Naviacan already gain stacks while you’re setting up your other character’s Skills and Burstson top of the stacks you gain from picking up Crystallize shards. Doing this allows her tostart with more ammo by the time she takes the field.
