Just like in the real world, seasons are pretty important inDragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. Not only does each season change what an area looks like, but it also brings new monsters, and opens up previously inaccessible paths through freezing water or bringing up bones to make a bridge.
It takes time for seasons to change though, especially in cases where you want Winter, but you’ve just entered Spring. What if you see a Monster Egg on a seasonal area, and want it right away? You don’t always have to wait. We’ll show you the two different ways you’re able to change seasons on the fly.

How To Use Seasoning
Thefirst way of seasoning changingyou’ll get access to besides just waiting for it to arrive is theSeasoning item.
Seasoning’s aconsumable Treasure Itemthat, when used from your inventory, advances the season forward by one, such as turning the world from Spring to Summer, or from Winter to Spring.

You canuse multiple Seasonings in a rowto advance the season to whichever one you want or need, but you’ll need towait a few secondsinbetween each use, and youcan’t be on any season-specific crossing, or else theSeasoning will fail.
Seasonings can beobtained in afew different waysas you progress:
You can equipaccessorieslike theScavenger’s Badge,Scavenger’s Medal, andCupcake Caneonto your monsters toincrease your chance of obtaining Seasonings, and other items.
How To Obtain The Four Seasons Flute
Theother way to change seasonsis using theFour Seasons Flute, akey itemthat allows you toinfinitely change the seasons.
The Four Seasons Flute is apost-game item, and obtaining itrequires youto not onlydefeat the final boss, but alsodefeat three very difficult post-game bosses: Estark Venjah, Wyrmsworth, and Azabel.

After beating the final battle and going through some cutscenes, you’ll get an invitation tovisit the Whispwoods from Ludo. Accepting it willgrant you accessto thepost-game area, the Wispwoods, and as you go through the area, you’ll befaced with the three bosses.
How To Beat Estark
Thefirst bossyou’ll be fighting isEstark Venjah. He usesa lot of AOE attacks, bothmagic and physical, and frequentlyuses Brake Windtomake himself immune to breath attacks.
He also enjoysspamming Disruption Wave, getting rid of all your buffs.

Once Estark is dead, and yougo into the next area, you’ll get another cutscene once you approach the tree, and it’ll betime for the second boss, Wyrmsworth.
How To Beat Wyrmsworth

How To Beat Azabel
Like her child Estark,Azabellikes toprimarily use AOE Attacks, and will frequentlyuse both Disruption Wave and Wave of Reliefto nullify your buffs and debuffs on her.
After Azebel is defeated, you’llget another cutscene with Ludo, and then you’ll befree to walk around, heal, and leave Whispwoods again.
