You’ve heard of the Skyrim Stealth Archer build. But have you heard of theStarfieldStealth Assassin build? Few things in Starfield are more exhilerating than getting the jump on every enemy, quietly bringing down as many as humanly possible instead of getting stuck in prolonged gunfights and grueling melee deathmatches.
As a result of both the Starfield community’s research and our own, we’ve compiled our recommendation for a rad stealth setup that’ll make even the most demanding Ryujin employer impressed with your killing-them-softly personality.

Creating The Ultimate Starfield Stealth Character
It’s possible to choose whatever you’d like during character creation, but to really get the jump on the ultimate stealth build, think about making the ‘right’ decisions during character creation. The most stealth-savvy background isCyber Runner, which will allow you toutilize dialogue options that’ll help you con your wayinto the hearts of many - including powerful corporate overlords and scientists with secrets.
With Cyber Runner chosen, you’llautomatically possess the Stealth Skill Novice Perk, which means you’ll have access to theStealth Meterfrom the beginning of your story.

The Perks Of Stealth
Now that you’ve got a headstart on silver-tongued skill, focus on the proper Perks as you gain your early levels.Keep building the Stealth Skill for new Perksthat increase the percentage of your Stealth Meter’s effectiveness, from 25 percent to 50 percent, 75 percent, and ultimately, 100 percent. With the Master Perk, you won’t alert enemies when opening doors. To top it all off, each Perk in this tree increasesdamage from suppressed weapons.
Concealmentis the other major stealth-centric skill in Starfield. After spending 12 skill points in the Physical tree, you’ll unlock it; the Novice Perk stops you from triggering mines, doubles ranged sneak attack damage, and quadruples melee sneak attack damage. The coolness only increases from there, with incremental gains ofup to four times ranged sneak attack damage and ten times melee sneak attack damage.

Concealment’s Advanced Perk also gives youChameleon, which allows you to ‘blend in’ more with your surroundings when you’re standing still. It’s essentially an additional bonus to stealth.
Silencing The Opposition
You have the luxury of jumping between ranged weapons and melee weapons on a whim in Starfield, though many builds will, of course, tilt more aggressively toward one or the other.Stealth characters have good reason to use both equally, since the opportunities for bonus damage on both fronts are so tempting.
Guns with suppressors and mods to increase stealth capabilityare your best bet, so prioritize those at shops, and always have one favorited to pull out on a moment’s notice when the need arises. It’s a numbers game from there; the better the percentages and (of course) damage output, the more valuable they’ll be for you.
The Wakizashi is a fantastic melee sword that’ll not only deal49 damagewithout factoring in bonuses, but it’ll look stylishly superb on any ninja-like spacefarer. We’ve got a guide on the easiest way to obtain the Wakizashi, so make sure youfollow along with itto complete the “Audition” sidequest!
