Tekken 8has 47 Trophies/Achievements for you to obtain across its many modes, most of which are relatively straightforward. While some will be a bit time-consuming to get, you should be able to acquire all of them without much trouble if you complete all of its single-player modes at least once.
However, one Trophy/Achievement, Despair, sticks out from the rest, being a bit unique to obtain. While the description is straightforward, when and where you can get it during The Dark Awakens' final Chapter is where things get tricky. But once you know when and how to acquire it, you will be more than golden!

How To Obtain The Despair Trophy/Achievement In Tekken 8
The ‘Despair’Trophy/Achievementin Tekken 8 is obtained byhaving Kazuya defeat Jin in the final encounterofThe Darkness Awakens,the game’s Story Mode. This takes place in the mode’s15th Chapter,which can be revisited anytime after clearing it.
Obtaining The Despair Trophy/Achievement In Tekken 8
To get the Despair Trophy Achievement,keep defeating Kazuya with Jinup to the point where you have topress ‘X/A’for the ‘I Will Not Deny My Existence’ option. After nailing that quick-time event,Kazuya’s Health Bar will be glowing red,signaling that he’s in aRagestate.
Once you’re at this point in the encounter,have Kazuya beat you down,draining your HP to nothing.After doing this the first time,Jin will stand upand say, ‘…I’m Still In This!’ His Health Bar will now beglowing red,placing you in aRagestate as well.
Jin will regain all his health,and youmust let Kazuya drain all of it again.Once this is done, instead of getting the standard ‘You Lose’ screen, you will geta cutscene that shows Kazuya defeating Jin,giving you theDespair Ending.After thecredits roll,you will obtain theDespair Trophy/Achievementand the ‘Despair’Titlefor your Player Profile!
Defeating Kazuyaat this stage of the encounter will haveJin emerge victorious,unlocking the ‘Hope’Trophy/Achievement and Title.Getting either one of these endings will grant you access to Chapter 15, enabling you to revisit it anytime you like to get the other Trophy/Achievement you missed!
