Intro
What Does Luck Impact?
In My Time at Sandrock, you’re definitely no stranger to breaking down items in search of scraps or materials, but new players don’t always realize thatyour Luck stat influences the rarity of your item drops and finds.
If you’re outcollecting materialsaround Sandrock, a high Luck stat is your ticket torarer materials and more materialsthan you’d normally receive.

Any time you kick trees, break rocks, bust up ore nodes, or scrounge for scrap, your odds of finding better drops improve regardless of which material you’re hunting.
Additionally, when you’remaking things onWorkshop machinesor at the Assembly Station, you’ll have a much better chance ofproducing a high-quality goodwhile your Luck stat is higher.

Improving the quality of an itemcan be quite costly using the Refiner, so skip the refining step and get to crafting when you’re feeling your luckiest!
Finally, Luck also seems to helpimprove your damagein combat. Our builders seem to deal more damage with better Luck skills than they did with regular stats.

The best Luck buff we’ve seen in My Time at Sandrock is a+777 Luck stat, which is indicated by afour-leaf cloverin your stats and buffs menu.
Overall, it’s best tocheck your stats regularlyto see when you’re the Luckiest. If you’ve got specific resources you need or quality materialsfor Commissionsand don’t want to deal with the Refiner, work on them when you’re feeling Lucky for better results.

How To Raise Your Luck
Initially upon beginning My Time at Sandrock, the Luck mechanic isn’t as imperative, as you’ll need fairly basic items to start. As you getlater in the game, though, and begin to require rarer materials for quests, you’ll need to begin paying attention to your Luck.
With the majority ofyour statsin My Time at Sandrock operating as hidden mechanics, Luck can be a bitdifficult to influence, requiring plenty ofmeals, armor, and furnitureto improve.
When consuming meals, check each meal’s statsin the item description before you cook and eat - different meals can impart different perks like defense or attack boosts, and Luck is but one of the boosts offered by food in Sandrock.
When putting a new article of clothing onto your builder, check the stats of each piece of armoryou equip! They’ll always offer things like better defense or Critical chances in battle, but some offer improved Luck as well.
As forfurniture, you may alwayscheck the board in your houseto see which pieces of furniture are impacting which stats. You’ll earnbonus statsjust for having specific pieces of furnitureplaced in your home, so check the status effects before choosing your decor.
