Trying to find thebest spacesuit based on protectionresistances and, let’s be honest, looks, is part of the fun inStarfield.Though you can find many cool and unique spacesuits throughout the game, you can also find and equip regular clothing.
Regular clothing will not be shown unless you are in settlements, and even then, it may not show unless you select the right settings. This article details how to make it so that the game shows off your regular outfits when a spacesuit is not needed.
How To Equip Clothing
As you loot and explore in Starfield, you will probably pick up some clothing without even realizing it.Clothingwill be placedin the APPARELcategory of your inventory. Apparel is the fifth category, just under helmets.
Your clothing is always equipped and on; you just can’t see it under your spacesuit.Your spacesuit and any helmet will override regular clothingunless you have enabled settings to hide your spacesuit.
How To Hide Your Armor And Helmet In Starfield
Open your inventory and select the Spacesuits category, which is the second option in your inventory list. Once you open this inventory, there is the option"Hide spacesuit in settlements" at the bottom of the screen.
This only works for settlements. Settlements are large cities populated with shops and side quests. In these locations, you can roam free without your pack, spacesuit, or helmet.
Youcannot remove your spacesuit in breathable areas that are not settlements, such as your ship. User JustAnOrdinaryGuy on NexusMods has created a mod to allow this.
Hide Spacesuit in Breathable Areas modmakes it so that when you select “Hide spacesuit in settlements” in your inventory, it will hide your armor on ships.
