Over the years,Final Fantasy 14has added more and more mounts, some with a compounding strangeness that can only be found in Eorzea. You start off nice and simple with a Chocobo companion to run around with, but newer mounts have you riding inside of a TV, while sleeping in a bed, or while being abducted by a UFO.
The UFO mount was added to the game with Patch 6.55, and is earned through the extensive Hildibrand questline. If you’re wondering how to get this mount, you’ve come to the right place. Below, we’ll go over everything you need to do to get your hands on the UFO mount.
How To Get The UFO Mount
The UFO mount is earned through the final quest in theSomehow Further Hildibrand Adventures questline, titled’Gentlemen at Heart'. This quest, along with its predecessor,‘Of Duplicity and Duplication’, was added in Patch 6.55, and can be started by speaking toDelion in Radz-at-Han (X:11.4, Y:11.5), provided you’ve finished all the other Hildibrand quests to this point.
If you aren’t caught up yet, you have quite a bit of questing to get through. The Hildibrand Adventures questline began in Patch 2.1 with the level 50 quest’The Rise and Fall of Gentlemen’inUl’dah (X:9.8, Y:9.7). Following this questline will take you through a series of slapstick-fueled investigations with Hildibrand and various friends you’ll meet along the way.
You’ll also have to battle through several Trials, like Gilgamesh in the Battle on the Big Bridge, Ultros and Typhon inThe Dragon’s Neck, Gilgamesh (again) in the Battle in the Big Keep, Yojimbo in Kugane Ohashi, and finally Asura inThe Gilded Araya.
Completing all of these quests, from ‘The Rise and Fall of Gentlemen’ to ‘Gentlemen at Heart’ will finally reward you with theUFO Identification Key. Using this item from your inventory will allow you to summon the UFO mount and be carried away to distant worlds.
