String is an important early game crafting material inEnshrouded, and you won’t get far without crafting or finding some of it during your first few days in the game. There are two ways to acquire String: either craft it from Plant Fibre, or find it in destructible objects in the world - barrels, chests, etc.
Plant Fibre is easy to come by. You just need to harvest various bushes and berry bushes that you see as you explore. We also recommend that you destroy pretty much anything you can, as you can get potions, string, metal scraps and other useful items.

How To Get String
The simplest way to get String is to use Plant Fibre to craft it.Each piece of String requires three Plant Fibre.
Bushes can be found and harvested easily, though you might clear out an entire area of bushes and have to move on.

Bushes do regrow/respawn over time, so you will likely have a ready supply of Plant Fibre right on your doorstep.
Where To Find String In The World
If you want a ready source of String without having to craft it, you can find it throughout the world.
Your best bet is to check various Points Of Interest on the map forbundles and barrels, as these can both drop plenty of String when you smash them with your weapon.

Easy String Farming Spot
One of our favorite String farming spots is located in theHidden Tombmarked on the map above.
This place is infested with poisonous spiders, and as long as you have some rudimentary armor and a decent weapon, you can blitz through this place andharvest plenty of String and Critter Partsfrom the spiders inside, as well as gaining experience points.
String is required for a lot of early game items, includingBandages, your first Bow, and the first armor set.
