War Hospitaltakes place during the final months of the First World War. The Allies' resources have been stretched thin for a long time, and supplies are hard to come by all along the Western Front. The British Army sends help to the hospital when they can, but there simply isn’t enough to go around.
you’re able to produce many of your own supplies once you’ve expanded the hospital enough, but you’ll need to request materials and personnel from HQ to have a hope of surviving the war. Without the necessary paperwork, though, you won’t get anything beyond the bare minimum available.

How To Get Military Drafts
Military Draftsare used to procure material goods, from medical supplies to construction equipment. They’re slightly easier to come by than Staff Permits, but no less precious.
Military Drafts are primarily acquired bysending soldiers back to HQafter they recover in the Rehabilitation Center. This means they won’t be available to defend the hospital the next time the enemy attacks, but there are plenty of other positions along the front line that need fortifying.

Unless you’re really in a bind, don’t bother sending soldiers to HQ who will only provide one Military Draft. They’re much better used defending the trenches. Send soldiers worth two and three Drafts instead.
It can be tempting to spend your Military Drafts right away, but in Chapters Two and Three it’s worthsaving them for expensive projectslike top-tier building expansions. It also pays to have some banked in case you need to make an emergency request for supplies from the Train Station.
How To Get More Staff Permits
Staff Permits are exceptionally rare, and they’re the only resource that you can’t get through the course of normal gameplay. Instead, you’lloccasionally be given requests from command. These can range from sending a set number of soldiers to HQ to letting them borrow your staff for a few hours to prioritizing a particular patient.
If you fulfill these request, you’ll be rewarded with Staff Permits. These are the only way to recruit new doctors, medics, nurses, scouts, and engineers, so use them wisely!
Use your initial allotment of Staff Permits at the beginning of Chapter One to hire a second Surgeon. You’ll need him.
Staff Permits can be spent to hire personnel from the Train Station, provided that you have the space to accomodate them. To make more room, expand the necessary building,as shown below:
2 Permits
Engineer Housing
Constructs new improvements, crafts supplies at the Pharmacy and Engineering Depot.
1 Permit
Scout Tent
Explores the area around the hospital to trigger unique story events, which yield rewards.
Scouts can suffer losses while exploring; you may replace them from the Scout Tent at a cost ofone Staff Permit each.
