There are so many different loveable characters to meet inCult Of The Lamb. While it’s nice that you can play Knucklebones with Ratau at the lonely shack, it’s a shame you can’t invite him over to your cult. The closest you can get is customizing your Followers' form to vaguely resemble your favorite character.
Luckily, there are a few special NPCs that can join your cult after completing specific quests. Sozo, from the Mushroom Kingdom, is an NPC who will happily join your ranks if you complete his quest line. Here’s everything you need to know to earn Sozo’s loyalty and unlock him as a Follower.
Completing Sozo’s Quests
After collecting aMushroom on a crusadein Anura, you’ll unlock access to theMushroom Grotto. Here, you can meet Sozo, a mushroom enthusiast who offers his own series of quests.
Completing all of Sozo’s questswill unlock him as a Follower.
Here are all of Sozo’s quests,each rewarding one piece of a Holy Talisman Shard:
Build a Mushroom Sculpture (x35 Menticide Mushroom, x20 Gold Bars)
Resurrecting Sozo
Sozo will die after you complete his quests,being overtaken by the mushroom sprouting out of his head. After leaving the Mushroom Grotto and returning, you cantake the Seed of Sozo from his corpse.
To resurrect Sozo,plant the Seed of Sozo in a Farm Plotand water it daily.
After several days of watering the Seed of Sozo, you’ll be able topick a Mysterious Mushroom from the plot.
Sozo will sprout from the ground andask for five Menticide Mushrooms.Once youprovide Sozo with the mushrooms, he’ll join your cult.
Sozo isimmortal and will not sleep.However, Sozo alsorefuses to do any work, instead only engaging with fellow Followers and eating Mushroomos.
Unlocking Dr. Sozonius
Sozo will eventually ask you torescue his old followers, the Mushroomos, from the beasts within Anura.
During a crusade, you can come across a Mushroomo andsave them by defeating all the nearby enemies.
Once a Mushroomo is indoctrinated,Sozo will chase them down and eat them.
You mustdeny any further requests from Sozoasking you to find more Mushroomo.
Sozo will start dissenting once you deny his request andwill need to be placed in a Prison.After you successfully re-educate Sozo,he will remember his identity as Dr. Sozonius.
