To get the pearls from them without a mount, you canuse the “harvest” buttonwithout holding anything in your hand. As mentioned above however, using a specialized mount can increase your yieldeasily by at least five times.
These Silica Pearl clams can be foundall over the bottom of the ocean, especially in thenorthwestern quadrant, near the snowy biome. Swim around on the bottom of the ocean with a mount and you’ll find plenty.

However, the ocean can be a dangerous place for unprepared survivors, due to threats like large predators, extreme temperatures and lack of oxygen.

Dive under the glacial ice to findseveral Silica Pearl clams.This spot isrelatively safefrom aquatic predators such as the Megalodon, though you will need towatch for common threatsroaming down from the snow mountains, such as Direwolves.
Harvesting Silica Pearls From Creatures
Silica Pearls can also beharvested from the corpses of Trilobyte, Eurypterids and Leeches.
Though they can yield a good amounts of pearls when harvested with the correct mount, they are aless reliable source than clam harvestingas you’ll need to hunt them down and they spawn randomly.
Trilobytes
Trilobytes can be found onbeaches and coastlines, and areskittish. They will attempt to escape if you hit them, and pose little danger.
Eurypterids
Eurypterids can be rarely found at thebottom of the ocean.
Along with the common dangers of the ocean such as aquatic predators, temperatures and oxygen, Eurypterids can alsotranquilize you and your mount, which can leave you vulnerable. As they are found atextremely dangerous depthsand have arare spawn rate, Eurypterids are better considered as sources for the more advanced Black Pearls, than a reliable source of Silica Pearls.
Leeches
Leeches can be found in swamps, and can latch onto you and cause disease. All things considered, these arenot very reliable or safe sources of Silica Pearls, but are the only sources of Leech Blood, which is used for crafting bait and antidotes.
Harvesting Silica Pearls From Beaver Dams
Lastly, Silica Pearls can beharvested from Beaver Dams. That said, Beaver Dams are mainly a source of Cementing Paste, and only rarely contain Silica Pearls.
Finding Silica Pearls in Beaver Dams should be considered a bonus, and isnot reliable enoughto be considered a farming method.
Beaver Dams can be found wherever Castoroides (Giant Beavers) spawn, commonlynear bodies of water. To loot one, interact with it while standing nearby, but be aware thatit will anger any Castoroidesnearby.
