Shroud Cores are an important crafting material used to expand the size of your building restrictions around Flame Altars. They can also be used to craft other useful items, like Magical Chests. Flame Altars act as your fast travel points and potential building areas inEnshrouded, the more Shroud Cores you collect, the bigger you can build your base.
Shroud Cores can be collected from enemies in the world or crafted at the Alchemist NPC. This guide covers where you can find Cores in the world, as well as the crafting recipe that allows you to create them at the Alchemist.

Where To Find Shroud Cores
Shroud Cores can becollected from Wraith enemies in Enshrouded zones. You’ll encounter these enemies primarily around Elixir Wells, although they can spawn in other locations as well.
These Wraiths drop Shroud Cores when they are defeated and may respawn after a short period, essentially allowing you to farm Shroud Cores without having to craft them.

Both of these are relatively easy to acquire in Enshrouded zones.
Shroud Spores
Shroud Spores can be acquired for killing and looting enemies in the Enshrouded areas. Regular enemies can drop between two and four Shroud Spores. you may read more about Shroud Spores here.
Shroud Liquid
Shroud Liquid can be collected from mushrooms in the Enshrouded areas of the map. You can read more about Shroud Liquid here.
Shroud Core Crafting Recipes
The main use for Shroud Cores is toexpand the size of the buildable area around your Flame Altar. If you’re going for a mega base, you’ll need plenty of Cores to keep expanding the size.
Likewise,Magical Chests require Shroud Cores to craft. These are fantastic storage solutions as items within them can be used to craft wherever you are inside your base area.
