As you go throughThe Gnorp Apologue, you’ll have different upgrades and buildings to help you during runs. When you first start the game, you’ll encounter the Talent Tablet, which has multiple skill trees, but how do you gain Talent Points to put into it? That’s where your Prestige Levels come in as one of the most important resources available.
As you Prestige, you’ll gain more benefits that let you unlock more abilities to help you gain more Shards. You’ll want to spend time learning what Prestiges are, what they get you, and how you can get more of them. Doing so will let you unlock your Gnorps' potential and complete the game while discovering its secrets.

What Are Prestige Levels?
Prestige Levels refer to the levels you gain as you increase your Collection Rate. Each time you sreach a milestone, you’ll gain another Prestige Level, which are turned into Prestige Points.
Your currentPrestige Points are represented by the number to the right of the Prestige button. The Prestige Bar is to the right of the number, which shows how close you are to the next Prestige Level.

Resetting the game doesn’t change your Prestige Level, so you’ll need to reach that Collection Rate again, then surpass it.
Once you reset for the first time, your previous Prestige Level you reached will appear as the gray segmenton the Prestige Bar.

How To Use Prestige Levels To Gain Talent Points
Once you’re done with your current run, you’llhold down the Prestige button, which will reset the game. All the Prestige Levels you gained in that playthrough will be converted into Talent Points, which you spend on the Talent Tablet.
The Talent Tablet has skills you’ll unlock passivelythat are permanently applied and ones you can spend on the Talent Tree. The ones you choose are in the middle and can’t be chosen until the corresponding ones on the sides are unlocked.

To unlock the Passive Talents, you need toearn the corresponding Prestige Points, represented by the number above them. This updates each time you Prestige and reset, showing how many more you need.
For the skills you choose, your Prestige Level will be shown on the Talent Tablet when you start a run. you’re able to spend each point on your Tablet Tree, and since they’ll reset each time you start over, you can try new builds each time.

How To Get Prestige Levels
Youearn Prestige Levels every time you reach a Collection Rate threshold. For instance, if you reach 1,000 Shards a minute, you unlock the first Prestige Level.
Your Collection Rate appears as a box on the screen, showing you how many Shards you collect per minute and their sources. Most of your Shards will be collected by Runners at first, but you’ll have other great options, including Drones and Zygnorps.
How Damage And Compression Impact Prestige Levels
While gaining Prestige Levels may seem easy, you mustbalance your Collection Rate and Damage. Since you can only collect shards equal to the damage you deal, if your Collection Rate exceeds your Damage, it’ll eventually catch up and lower.
Balancing them also involves your Compression.Compression refers to the Shards that return to the stone, which increases as your Shard pile gets taller.
Even though you may have a lower Collection Rate,if the Compression gets large enough, you may not progress. If you want to improve your Collection Rate, you need to use various Talents and buildings to lower the Compression.
Compression will return to zero every time you complete a Compression Event. This occurs whenever you fill the meter at the bottom of screen.
