There are so manythingsinStarfield. As is customary with Bethesda’s sprawling RPGs, many of the less immediately-appealing items you’ll chance upon during bouts of exploration will, in fact, be worth scooping up. High-Tensile Spidroin is a sterling example. What even is this? Why should you bother lugging it around when your precious inventory space would be better suited to shinier trinkets?

High-Tensile Spidroin will factor into third-level equipment modifications, and you’ll miss out on some fantastic upgrades without it. We’re not going to let your helmet miss out on some heavy shielding, so read on to learn where you’ll spin yourself some good old-fashioned Starfield Spidroin.

Where To Find High-Tensile Spidroin In Starfield

There arethree major methods of farming High-Tensile-Spidroin. We’ll cover them all, though they’re all mercifully straightforward. Just knowing where to look is half the battle, if not, well, nearly all of it.

Keep An Eye Out While Looting

High-Tensile Spidroin cansometimes be found while you’re looting Starfield’s various facilities, be they abandoned command posts taken over by the scum of the universe, enemy faction strongholds, or even civilian centers of operations. Whether the Spidroin is a rightful prize for clearing out some baddies or stolen via criminal activity is up to you.

Bear in mind,High-Tensile Spidroin is far from the most common itemhanging around on countertops, inside cabinets, and the like. It’s not so rare as, say, contraband. Butit tends to be among the less common forms of loot, prone to being hidden behind hackable doors, inside the larger cylindrical loot containers - those sorts of areas.

Two words:Linnaeus II. We won’t pretend to be the intrepid explorers responsible for discovering this treasure trove of High-Tensile Spindroin, of course. But the information is vital, and there wouldn’t be much point in this guide if we didn’t recommend the swiftest course of action.

Linnaeus II is located in the Linnaeus star system. Don’t let Linnaeus' proximity to early-game systems fool you into thinking it will be smooth star-sailing, however. The recommended level here is 45, meaning you might be unfortunate enough to bump into high-leveled hostile starships en route to the planet’s surface, andyou should avoid any enemy outposts here if you aren’t at a high level.

The good news is, the fauna here is all peaceful. You will beexploring here until you find a species of flora called the Frigid Palm. It’s been found on three worlds, butonly here on Linnaeus IIdoes harvesting the Frigid Palm supply you with High-Tensile Spidroin.

Also on Linnaeus II is Mountain Silkwood, which is a good source of Pigment, as well as Cold Cave Nettle, an excellent source of Fiber, which many of us do not get enough of in our daily diets.

Starfield’s vendor inventories shift over time relative to the player’s level, so you’ll not find many fantastic purchases early on. By the time your level is in the twenties,Jemison Mercantile in New Atlantisshould begin to carry it on a routine basis, and (like so many things in Starfield), you can take advantage oflong rests/waitingto get the stock back.

No matter which route(s) you choose in your quest to get your hands on High-Tensile Spidroin, you’ll generally need to be somewhat high in level before it will appear. But on the other hand, you won’t need it until third-level equipment mods, so it stands to reason it won’t be yours in abundance until then!
