Enshroudedis set in the wild and vast lands of Embervale. Here, you will encounter a wide range of creatures, with some being tiny little bugs. This would be the firefly, which are only found at certain times of the day. While this isn’t the most convenient, you may need to acquire a firefly from time to time.
In this guide, we are going to go over how to get your hands on some fireflies. Additionally, we will take a look at what you can do with this bug. Overall, fireflies don’t cause any damage, so you don’t need to prepare for any battles if you want to go firefly hunting.

Firefly Spawn Conditions
Fireflies willonly spawn during the night.During this time, you can findclusters of fireflies glowing in non-Shroud areas.When you approach, the firefly cluster will not move, but you canpress ‘E’ to collect them.
Although it visually looks like a group of fireflies,you will only receive one firefly item.The item itself does look like a handful of the bugs, but it’s stilljust one.
How To Find Fireflies
Since this bug glows, it will beeasy to spot them from a distance,especially if you are in a dark area. Fireflies aren’t too rare, so you may evenfind a few clustered around your base.Above, you can see what a cluster of fireflies looks like during the night. The light they give off isslightly yellow,unlike the blue light from lootable corpses.
To efficiently gather fireflies, we suggesttaking a night run through a dark area that doesn’t have any Shroud infestation.As you approach fireflies, the glow will become more obvious and you may easily collect them.
You don’t need a container to collect fireflies; they go straight into your inventory.
What To Do With Fireflies
Fireflies have a few uses. At the start of the game, you can use this bug tocreate the Firefly Lamp at the Workbench.This will light up an area and provide one comfort point. To make this, you will needthree plant fiber and five fireflies.This is relatively cheap and doesn’t require any equipment to make.
Fireflies are also needed for alchemy-related crafting. For example,to make Glow Dust. you will just need one firefly,however, this requires the Mortar.
Overall, fireflies arepretty easy to obtain.If you ever do any late-night exploring, be sure to collect any firefly clusters that you spot.
