During your time inPalworld, you’ll spend a significant amount of time gathering resources and materials to upgrade your character’s gear and enhance your base for better equipment and productivity. Fortunately, you won’t be doing this alone; you have pals to assist with most tasks in your base.
While having pals is very helpful, many materials will require you to obtain them from the open world, either to build a structure for crafting other materials or as a base ingredient. That’s the case withCharcoal, as you need a specific structure before you can craft it.

Palworld is in Early Access, meaning that the details below are liable to change over the course of development.
How To Get Charcoal
In order to craftCharcoal, you will need tohave a Furnace in your base. The first one you can craft is thePrimitive Furnace, available at level ten in the Technology menu. While basic, it will serve the purpose of producing Charcoal.
To build the Primitive Furnace, you will need20 Wood, 50 Stone, andthree Flame Organs. Flame Organs are typicallydropped from fire element pals in the game, such as Foxparks, whichcan be found near the starting area.

If you need help, we have a guide onhow to farm Flame Organs in Palworld.
With these materials in hand, you can build a Primitive Furnace. However, you will need to assign a fire element pal to make it operate. The earliest one you can get is, again,Foxparks.

With everything set up, all you need to do now iscraft Charcoal using Wood in the Furnace.
It’s worth noting thateven advanced Furnaces can still have the Charcoal recipe in them. This is just the earliest way to obtain this resource.
