A lot of them require crafting using a production structure after unlocking them from the Technology menu. Besides unlocking the material, you also need to find the proper structure to produce it.
This is exactly the case when it comes to craftingCarbon Fiber. It can be easily unlocked after reaching a certain level, but you’ll need to find its material and the structure needed for production. How To Get Carbon Fiber
In order to obtainCarbon Fiber, you must first reach at leastlevel 35 to unlock it in the Technology menufor crafting. After unlocking, you’ll notice it requirestwo Coalto craft one Carbon Fiber.
Coal can be found by headingnorthwest from the starting point of the game, reaching adesert biome. In this area, you’ll discover chunks where you can obtain coal, with coordinates for one such location being-158, -91.

Once you have the coal, you’ll need to build theProduction Assembly Line.
If you haven’t done so yet, you canunlock it at level 28 in the Technology menu. It requires 100 Ingots, 50 Wood, 20 Nails and 10Cement.
However, this structurerequires electricity, and to make it operational, you need to have aPower Generatorand anelectric-type pal assigned to itin your base.
A Power Generator is unlocked atlevel 26 in the Technologymenu and requires 50 Ingots and 20 Electric Organs to build.
With everything set up, simply interact with the Assembly andcraft Carbon Fiber.
