Pokemon Go’sRaging Battlesevent has arrived, a brand-new in-game event coming with a unique variety of bonuses, new features, and even a Pokemon making their in-game debut. In addition to these bonuses and features, there will also be aGo Battle Weekevent taking place throughout this event, centered around the PvP battlefield within Pokemon Go.
This event will be taking place for a little less than a week, activefrom Friday, July 20, 2025, at 10am local time to Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 8pm local time.Read on to learn everything there is to know about the Raging Battles event in Pokemon Go.

Pokemon Go Debut: Annihilape
Starting with the Raging Battles event, you will be able to acquireAnnihilapein Pokemon Go, Primeape’s new evolution. to get Annihilape in Pokemon, you will need todefeat 30 different Ghost or Psychic-type Pokemon in battle while having a Primeape as your Buddy Pokemon.
This can be done in any battle, whether it be a Raid battle or a PvP Go Battle League battle, as long as you have a Primeape as your Buddy Pokemon. Additionally, these Ghost and Psychic-type Pokemoncan be defeated by Pokemon other than your Primeape, and you will still gain progress as long as Primeape is your Buddy Pokemon.

Event Bonuses
There will be two different bonuses to benefit from throughout the Raging Battles event.
First,Team Go Rocket members will be appearing at a much higher frequencyduring this event. This includes both those found at PokeStops and those found in Team Go Rocket balloons.

Second, you will have thechance of encountering both Sawk and Throhin the wild throughout this event. This is a rare opportunity because you are typically only able to encounter one of these two Pokemon depending on which region you’re playing Pokemon Go in.
Wild Encounter Pokemon
There will beeight different Pokemon that will be appearing in the wildat a higher rate during the Raging Battles event, all following the fighting and battling theme of this event. Each of these eight event wild encounter Pokemon can be found below.

Event Raid Pokemon
During this event, there will also bedifferent Pokemon found in both One-Star and Three-Star Raids, again, following the theme of this event. Each of these event Raid Pokemon are provided for you below with the specific type of Raid they will be found in.
Event Research
Field Research Task Encounters
Like with most other Pokemon Go events, there will be specialField Research Tasksavailable when visiting and spinning different PokeStops. Some of these tasks will reward you with an opportunity to catch a specific Pokemon, and in the case of these event Field Research Tasks, the opportunity to encounter and catchMankey.
Event Collection Challenge
There will be different Raging Battles eventCollection Challengesavailable to complete throughout this limited-time event. In order to complete these Collection Challenges, you will have to catch and evolve specific event-themed Pokemon before the conclusion of this event.
Completing these Collection Challenges will reward you with different in-game items and resources, includingthree Fast TMs, three Charged TMs, and Stardust.

Go Battle Week: Timeless Travels
TheGo Battle Week: Timeless Travelsevent will be hosted on the same days as the Raging Battles event, Friday, July 21, 2025, at 10am local time to Wednesday, July 27, 2025, at 8pm local time. During this event all three main leagues will be active and available to compete in, including theGreat League, Ultra League, and Master League.
This event will offer tons of bonuses having to do with the game’s PvP arena, the Go Battle League, all detailed for you below.

Bonuses
There will be two different Go Battle League-centered bonuses active during this event, each outlined for you below.
During this event, there will betwo sets of Timed Researchavailable to complete, one being free and one being paid.

First, thefree Timed Researchwill be available to all players during this Go Battle Week, requiring you to complete Go Battle League-themed tasks. Completing this tasks will reward you with different in-game items, including theIngo-Style Hat avatar item.
Second, there will be aPaid Timed Researchavailable to purchase for this event, costing$2.00 USDat the Pokemon Go in-game shop. Again, there will be Go Battle League-themed tasks for this Timed Research, rewarding you withthree Rare Candy, a Rocket Radar, Stardust, and two Premium Battle Passesfor completing them.
With both of these being Timed Research, you willonly have until the end of this event to complete tasks and claim rewardsfrom them.
