Epic Games consistently adds or unvaults items inFortniteto keep you on your toes competitively and provide new mobility options to help you get out of danger. One of these mobility additions has been the life-saving Crash Pad Jr., which provides a safe landing spot and a bounce that can help you reach new heights.

Using the Crash Pad Jr. can help prevent you from taking fall damage and will allow you to get where you’re going with considerable ease. However, keep in mind that it’s not as powerful as the full Crash Pad, and enemies can use them to follow close behind you.

There doesn’t seem to be a shortage of Crash Pad Jr, as you canfind them as floor lootor inchests and other randomized loot drops.

Plenty of them seem to bearound since they were re-added to the game, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding one.

The best place to look for a Crash Pad Jr would be anywhere that spawns a lot of loot, sothe major POIs would be a safe place to look.

If you don’t see any on the ground,search nearby chests. You’llfind at least one stack of threeif you keep looking.

The Crash Pad Jr works just like the larger version, allowing players to throw it down and bounce off by double tapping the jump button or by throwing it.

You can deploy the Crash Pad Jr. bythrowing the item ahead of youlike other throwables.

Cycle through your inventory toselect the itemin your inventory, thenaim with either the Right Mouse Button or Left Triggeron the controller andpress the Left Mouse Button or the Right Triggeron the controller.

In Zero Build, the Crash Pad Jr can be agreat way to get to places you would normally need to buildto access.

One of the best uses of the Crash Pad Jr. is toget away from opponents quicklyor toprevent yourself from taking devastating fall damage.

When in the air or after jumping,press the jump button to ‘Deploy a Crash Pad Jr.,‘which will send you flying across the map.

As shown in the video, you canuse this method if you don’t have the Crash Pad Jr equippedin the hot bar. As long as you have some in your inventory,you can do this.

If you’re falling,you can also throw one downas a throwable below you, but this could take precious time.
