Fishing inTerrariais useful because you can find special crates in the water instead of fish. These crates can contain valuable and unique loot that you can’t get any other way. Crates can be fished from any large body of water in any biome both on the surface and underground. They can contain weapons, accessories, and even mounts.
As you progress in your Terraria world and reach the ocean, you will also find the Angler NPC who can be brought to your town. The Angler will give you fishing quests every day and reward you with unique items each time. Fishing is a great past time to get achievements and rare loot.
How To Get A Fishing Pole
There are differentlevels and raritiesof fishing poles in Terraria. The most common, easiest fishing pole to acquire is a Wooden Fishing Pole. This can be crafted at any point in the game witheight Woodat a crafting bench.
Every fishing pole will have a level of Fishing Power and Velocity.Velocityishow far your bobber can be thrown.Fishing Poweris your chances ofactually catching fish. The next best fishing poles would be an Iron/Lead fishing pole crafted from an anvil, and then Demonite or Crimtane.
Only three fishing poles(Wooden, Reinforced Iron/Lead, Demonite/Crimtane)can be craftedpersonally. Any other fishing pole in the game must be acquired bydefeating enemies or finding loot.
Every Fishing Pole
There are 11 fishing poles in the game. The first three craftable poles will only have Fishing Power of up to 22 percent. You can acquire fishing poles that have a power of 50 percent with added buffs such as being able tofish in lavaor increasing your chances of catching fish.
The best fishing polein Terraria is theGolden Fishing Pole. This can only be acquired through completing tons of Angler fishing quests. The number of quests you have to complete to be rewarded with the fishing pole is not consistent, but it is at least past 30 quests.
The Angler is an NPCfound at theoceanside beach biome. This biome is found on either side of the end of the map. He can be added as a villager in your town. The Angler can onlygive one quest per day.You can spam quests by using Journey Mode and making it morning and night whenever you please.
