How To Re-enter The Baldur’s Mouth

To change the article about you, you’ll need to find a way back into the Baldur’s Mouth. The printer they use for their newspapers is in abasement underneath the building, and you’ll need to tamper with it to save your reputation.

Unfortunately, once Ettvard has kicked you out of the building, the front door will be locked. You’ll need to find other ways inside, and there are several options you’re able to choose from.

First, you can lockpick the entrance or the backdoorto gain access to the building. Then, you’ll have toSneak or use Invisibility to get to the basement door entrance. Use a character with Stealth and Sleight of Hand like Astarion for this method.

You’ll find thatthe basement door is locked.you may pick the lock, but an easier way is topick Ettvard Needle’s pocket for the key. You can easily do this by having a companion Sneak and pickpocket Ettvard while you’re having a conversation with him.

Make sure tosnatch the key before the dialogue is over,or you won’t get another chance before getting kicked outside.

The other way to enter the building leads you toan elevator that will take you straight to the basement. You’ll need to scale the building using theplatforms hanging from the south wall.

You can use a character that can jump greater heights, or you can grant a character theability to Fly, or have a character jump higher withEnhanced Leap.

When you get to the top of the building, you’ll finda barricade blocking a hole in the southeast corner. you’re able to break the wooden panels with melee attacks and jump into the hole.

You’ll then find yourself in an elevator that can take you straight to the basement just by pulling thelever on the wall.

How To Change The Article About You

To change the article written about you, you’ll need to get to the printer. This is tucked deep inside the Baldur’s Mouth Gazette’s basement. The basement is guarded bytwo Steel Watchers, andyou can choose to attack them or to sneak past them.

The Steel Watchers walk in a repetitive pattern, andthere are several rooms you can run intoshould you choose the sneaky method.

The room with the printer is at the very end of the second hallway of the basement. Before you get there, you should pick up another article to replace the one being printed about you.

One of these articles is entitled “Cutest Cat You’ve Ever Seen”, and it’s sitting on a shelf in a room found in thenorthwest corner of the basement.

Once you have your replacement article, you may head to the room with the printer. Interact with the printer, and you’ll find that it’s an enchanted printer named Jelliwig.

You can attempt toconvince Jelliwig to help you change the article with a Charisma check.

If that doesn’t work, you’ll need to successfullyforce it open to change the article yourself.

To replace the article, you simply need to insert the new article you’ve picked up into the machine. Once you’ve done that, you will have saved your reputation.

You’ll need to sneak past the Steel Watchers again to make your way out of the basement because there’s no way to teleport from this location.

You’ll complete the quest after your next long rest. Once you wake up, you’ll be notified that the article about you never got into print.

You can buy a copy of the new article, and you’ll find thatwhatever you stuffed into the printer is the new headline.
