With the Royal Hourglass in hand and one Time Jewel found, you’ll be able to visit a lot of new places inDisney Dreamlight Valley, but you still aren’t strong enough to free Jafar. There are two Time Jewels left to find, and you’ll need the help of some of Eternity Isle’s residents to find them.
Alongside Jafar and EVE, two other people have been stranded on Eternity Isle for ages: the strong, but vain Gaston, and the magical-hair-bearing adventurer Rapunzel. They might have information on where the remaining Time Jewels are, but you’ll have to help them before they help you if you want to rescue Jafar.
How To Find The First Half Of The Scarab Key
After completing themain story mission, Sands In The Hourglassand unlocking both the Glittering Dunes and the Wild Tangle, you’ll be able to start on the path tofinding the secondandthird Time Jewels.
Themain questfor them isYour Eternal Reward, but during the course of completing it, you’ll have tocomplete several other main questsin order to make progress in them.
First, head to the Glittering Dunes andfind Gastonby the sand lakeat the other end of the Plains sub-area.Speak with him, and you’ll quickly discover that he’s sick from the heat, and you’llbegin thefirst secondary main questwith him,The Wanderer Of The Dunes.
You’ll need tocomplete Gaston’s quest, which involvesgetting him some food found around Eternity Isle, helping him get back to his temporary shelter, and helping himfind one half of the Scarab Keyagain.
Once The Wanderer of the Dunes is done, you’ll move onto the quest The Wild Tangle’s Swarm, and need tomeet with Rapunzel in the Wild Tangle.
You can obtain the Wild Tangle’s Time Jewelprior to completing The Wanderer In The Dunes, but you can alsodo it at the same time as The Wild Tangle’s Swarm. This allows you toget two quests done at the same time.
How To Find The Wild Tangle’s Time Jewel
Head to the Wild Tangle andfollow the trail of mysterious flowers to Rapunzeland speak with her. You’ll getanother secondary main quest, The Ancient Doorfrom her, and during it, you’ll need to help herrepair the Sun Core, and open the Ancient Door, so she can try andget her paints back.
Once you’ve done so andinvestigated the Sundial, you willmove onto the next quest, The Sundial.Find ten Floating Sundial Gearsthat appear inrandom spotsaround Eternity Isle, then bring them back to Rapunzel.
After talking with her, it turns out acertain villain from the main land, Mother Gothel, might just havetaken the Time Jewelwith her in the past, andlocked it in the towerthat Rapunzel used to be locked in.
You’ll need4,000 Misttounlock The Grove sub-areaof the Wild Tangle in order to progress.
Follow Rapunzel over to her tower, and you willstart another secondary main quest you need to complete, The Tower. Help herget rid of the Time Jewel’s influenceon her home, and you’ll find the second Time Jewel during it.
How To Find The Second Half Of The Scarab Key
With Rapunzel’s paints returned to her and thesecond Time Jewel in your hands, it’s time to check back on Gaston andstart progressing in The Wild Tangle’s Swarm again.
If you’rehaving troublefulfilling thequest step ‘Give Gaston time to re-center himself’, head toThe Grove areaof the Wild Tangle, and approach theruin in the right-corner that’s covered in bugsto get the quest to update.
This quest will have yougetting rid of the swarming bugsin the area, and you’ll needseveral plants and materialsfound in the Wild Tangle and1,000 Mistto do so.
Get theScarab Key Piece repairedat any Crafting Station, thenspeak to Jafar to continue.
How To Find The Glittering Dune’s Time Jewel
After The Wild Tangle’s Swarm is completed, you’ll be able to move onto thenext secondary quest needed to progress, Diamond In The Rough.
Meet with Gaston at the Cave of Wonders, thensolve thelight-based puzzles, and you’ll find theGlittering Dune’s Time Jewelin thedepths of the Cave of Wonders.
Speak with Gaston outside in the Dunes once you’re finished tocomplete Diamond In The Rough, then it’s back onto the main quest again.
How To Rescue Jafar From His Palace
Go to any hologram station andspeak with Jafar, and he’ll tell you that you’ve nearly restored the power of the Royal Hourglass, but you’re still aways off from rescuing him.
There’s still amassive time anomalyblocking his palace, and it’slocated inThe Borderlands sub-areaof the Oasis.
You’re going to need10,00 Mistin order tounlock The Borderlands, which means doing activities likeMist Duties, hunting for time anomaliesusing your Royal Hourglass, andremoving Splinters of Fate.
You can also get a lot of Mistbycompleting Friendship Questsfrom Eternity Isle characters such asGaston, Rapunzel, and EVE, as well asthose from existing characters like Scrooge McDuck.
Get all the Mist needed, theninteract with the blocked pathin the Oasis tounlock the Borderlands. Head to thenorthern side of the areaand up the hill to where Jafar’s palace is, andinteract with the time anomalyto finally free Jafar.
Speak with him after the short cutscene, and you’llfind out Jafar’s true motivefor making a home in the Eternity Isle: it turns out apowerful reliccalled theSpark of Imaginationis hidden there.
He’ll demand youhand over the Royal Hourglassto him, but you aren’t about to give over such a powerful tool to a villain.Refuse to help him, and he’ll disappear back into his palace, likely to scheme.
Find andspeak with Merlinto deliver the worrying news to him, and Merlin will suggestvisiting the other realms and using your Hourglasswhile he does some research. For now, the quest is complete.
